well, that's an interesting way of extending play time, however, i believe it is more of a problem with the races being all so samey and having too many laps (with the exception of endurance, where that's the whole point).

Yea, I am just getting to the races that have 6 -10 laps, it's just tedious and gets quite frustrating when i loose interest and concentration on the last lap and spin out. A full race should take no longer than 5 minutes at max IMO or 3 laps. (with the exception of endurance races of course).

I am kind of disappointed because I am not a hardcore gamer, I don't like anything that's difficult and takes too long and is annoying, it's just not fun then...

Also does anyone else feel the AI is cheating at times??

acies, fully agreed once more. they needede to have a cap on laps for us older, more feeble gamers...i'd take a 10% credit loss to have it stop at five laps.

and yes, i think the AI is doing what AI always does in race games...they're like the agents in the matrix...still part of the game but ever so slightly different rules...

Finally got the Hard Charger achievement. Did it honestly, without lowering the difficulty or anything. Talk about a fun race.

What difficulty do you guys play at? I have the AI at medium and am considering increasing it seeing as im lapping the AI at times although theres usually 1 car that will pass me if I hit a wall and am down for 10 sec or so /shrug. (Im lvl 19 does the AI get harder as i go on)?

I'm playing AI at medium and braking lines and ABS on, everything else off. Damage and tire/fuel on simulation. Just remember, if you build a car that has a much higher PI index, you're going to kill. Once you start getting to some of the races in the Rivalry Faceoffs and Regional Championships, you'll start to hit some nice challenges.

thats why you hire drivers to race for you, and you can race the same race over and over and get credits for each victory

I think they should have perhaps given the option to adjust the laps for each race, and earn more for the more you do. That would mean i could do more of the tracks I like, and less of those I don't.

unless you play on easy the AI here isn't too smashable my friend, especially on the more pro races. they seem to have fully modded handling rather than power output, which means that while you may get ahead one crash and they're nothing but specks on the horizon.

and be forewarned, FM2 is NOT a good points earner, me's afraid.

I've never bought a game for the points :p. Yeah i've been tuning my cars for more handling than pure HP mainly because a lot of tacks require consistant turning and well if you are a few ft off on breaking you don't seem to slow down at all and there you go into a wall at 120MPH :p. That kills your car making it impossable to catchup unless you play on no dmg settings . Overall very fun and addicting!

I got this game yesterday finally :D

Played online for a bit, second damn race online ever and i was being smashed off the track by some prick!

everytime i went to over take him he would just ram the side of me pushing me off the track, after a while i got fed up of this and decided to play his way! in the end i beat him by a good 10 seconds or something :p although i did finish 4th lol

Loving the game so far, only thing that is bothering me is the constant need to upgrade a different car, was hoping i could use the same car at the beginning for alot of my beginning races but you need all the different drive types, heavy and light weight etc all in the proving grounds :(

I do have to ask... is their anyway to check what cars you can use for things like the light weight races? i need to buy a new car for that but cant afford to risk buying one for it to not "qualify" for the races!

i was thinking i might buy a Lotus Elise just to be on the safe side but i would much prefer to know what else is available!

The best way to see what cars to use is to look at the opponents in the races. You can do this by pressing X (I think) when the race is selected.

Well I've finally got the hang of the wheel (Forza was on hiatus for a week or so while I beat The Darkness) and it literally makes the game 10x better. It's all in the pressure you use accelerating and breaking. With the controller, it's pretty much hit the button or don't hit the button. With the wheel you have much more control over the ammount of gas/breaking you use. Break too hard going in to a corner, or floor the gas going out and you are going to be spinning off the track. I'm actually better with the wheel now than the controller because you just have so much more control over the car. The only thing I'm worse at is when there is a collision with a car. With the controller, there is a chance you can recover. With the wheel, the slightest bump and you're done. You're off the track.

You can check the weight of the cars in their specs. Elise, Exige, Elan, VX220, Opel Speedster, and any R1 car qualify...

yeah i figured that eventually when it came to the erm... the heavy cars (cant remember the proper name) tournament in the proving grounds.

i have a new question for today however :)

i noticed on the back it says you can have "custom soundtracks"

i would love to know what that exactly means, my guess is you can select what tracks are played in any order etc but where do you do this? i've looked in the audio options but cant think where else it might be :(

    • So, recently, I saw on the news that Samsung is introducing features where it can provide education using AI-powered sets, and because of this, I got concerned about whether the AI gives out wrong info during education sessions, causing controversies in the process. What are your thoughts on this?
    • TCL's Bang & Olufsen soundbar is 40% off on Amazon by Ivan Jenic The TCL Design Series A65K is currently $299.99, down from $499.99. That's 40% off and $200 saved on a soundbar tuned by Bang & Olufsen, which is not a combination you'd normally expect at this price point (purchase link below). Bang & Olufsen doesn't typically show up in the sub-$500 category. The Danish audio brand is known for speakers that cost several times more, so having their acoustic tuning on a $300 soundbar is very appealing. TCL handles the hardware, B&O handles the sound engineering, and the result is what the company calls "accessible luxury." Still, accessible luxury isn’t full-fledged luxury, so don’t expect wonders. But this is a decent soundbar, nevertheless. The A65K is a true 3.1.2 channel system with nine physical drivers, including genuine up-firing height speakers for Dolby Atmos and DTS:X. Many soundbars at this price simulate overhead effects through virtual processing, rather than actual hardware. So, you’re getting the real deal. The design is unusually slim for a system with Atmos compatibility. The bar is just under 2 inches deep and should fit beneath most TV screens. The wireless subwoofer is also compact at roughly 14 x 14 x 5 inches. Total output is 460W, and you can connect to the soundbar via HDMI eARC, Bluetooth 5.3, or USB. There are also eight sound modes through the TCL Home app and an AI calibration capability. Although it’s worth mentioning that AI capabilities in most of these devices are inconsistent, to say the least, and that shouldn’t be the biggest selling point. Still, at $299.99, the A65K is a strong buy for anyone who wants a soundbar that sounds and looks noticeably better than what this price range usually offers. And the Bang & Olufsen branding surely sounds nice - pun intended. • And he paid Joe Rogan $30M for podcasts. Terrible company.
    • I sure hope the AI does not give out wrong info during education
