Can't get halo 2 vista to install...

Same boat, my system scored a 3.8 (yay for my cpu rest is 4.5+) Game says it requires a 5 but will let you run anyways, no go no running. Secondary login is running and i ran installer as admin just closes.

Maybe, report the problem to Miraclesoft so they can help you? :p

I can run it fine, although a bit slow or slow with an AMD64 X 2 3800+ @ 2.0 Ghz, integrated Nvidia Geforce 6150LE, 1024 Megabytes of Ram with 200 being allocated and shared with onboard video.

I can't even use my full 1 gig of ram because of it being shared with onboard video. only 800 something megabytes are available to vista, yet it starts up fine for me and I'm able to play even though I don't quite meet the required 1 gig of Ram.

I'm running Vista 32-Bit and have an overall system rating of 3.0 (I blame the crappy integrated Gefore 6150LE) ;)

i know the cracked version fails to install :p there is a fix for it should work for retail also

Anyway here is what you do,

Enable Secondary Logon in the services and the problem should be sorted. :cool:

is this the same fix for the sp error? because when i want to start it tells me that some pther app is using live and it cant start. he? wtf? i dont even know how to get live on vista and nothing other than kaspersky is running, when i want to start the game in single player. i dont want to play online and i dont want/nned an account @ live or whatever, so can someone help please?

I've got the same trouble like that, but my secondary logon service was activated! The setup disappears after hit "continue" like it never starts before!!

Is there any way else??

I can't install the game either. I can install the dedicated server and map editor which is weird. I've tried all 3 installation modes too. This is ridiculous. :|

Download this And then copy ur DVD to ur PC and then extract this rar and replace the files with the original ones in ur "redists" folder ...

run the setup

and then it'll install !

i have secondary logon enabled. i still can not install! after i click 'cotinue' the installer just goes away.

i have a brand new MA15+ Halo 2 PC game that i got from carindale in qld in australia and i cant get it to install on a brand new 5 month old windows Vista Basic PC and i cant install halo 2 because it says on the error that you cant install halo 2 due to background info.

ill give you message tomorrow on this date 1/7/09.
