update releases are still as they were, there were none this time because of the huge changes we've gone through, everyone needs to replace older releases witht he new core releases.

then theres some additional new addon packs - xp mce2005, xp wmp10, dx.

I am new to this as well and also confused. You state everone needs to replace older releases. I have applied Nov 06 Full, and then Dec 06, Jan 06 and Feb 06 updates. Do I now have to download the full 304Mb May core release or can I just download AP v5.6?

Only thing i didnt understand is what the hack is MCE update, and i got answer to that by googling 1 min, and also later by reading some topic here where someone asked it.

I don't mean to incur more of your wrath, but could you tell me where that topic is? I've been trying to find a straight answer about what the MCE update is, but I can't find it. Is it just an update for Windows Media Center Edition, or does installing it on a Windows XP installation add MCE capabilities to XP?
