Day 2 Evening News

Another day, another victory. The town successfully voted for the death sentence of Mafia member Lt-DavidW. An improved 71% of the townspeople voted, 25% of those voted for Lt-DavidW. It is proven to be an effective strategy, and half of the Mafias have already gone in the ground.

Meanwhile, 3 Townspeople have not been seen for the last 2 days. Should they have the privilage to stay or should they be announced dead? Please leave your comments below.

I'm gutted! I had a feeling I was next, though 25% is less than I was expecting. What gave me away?

I think this alliance of four townspeople thing has made the game too unbalanced.

you may be right about the alliance thing. i didnt even know sundayx went ahead with that idea as i am not part of any alliance, but i have contacts that i developed.

anyways if there is this alliance thing going then clearly it has unbalanced the game as the mafia are dropping like flies !

ps dont forget - vote off davealmighty next, before he has you killed ! he gave himself away !! (sorry dave

When did he giv himself away? How do we know you aren't part of the mafia and are setting up innocent townies to be killed off? :p

Maybe people are just more on the ball rather than the alliance having anything to do with it.

by all means vote me off if you think i am mafia ! but first consider:

i agreed with aubaine about lt-davidw --- see above --- and that was right

as for davealmighty i can only say he gave himself away without knowing it in his pms to me. im not going to publish them here but i saw the signs.... that is what i mean. i say no more..... :shifty:

(again i dont know anything about the alliance either as i was not made a member of it, if it was even used in this game. i am just a plain townie, as youll see if you vote me off instead of the mafioso davealmighty

sorry dave, didnt mean to make you angry. i just meant it was all about general impressions, kind of like looking at the whole of a painting and seeing something you cant see in the details. hard to explain.

if i am wrong, ill drop out of the game (if i am not killed by the mafia before then).

anyways, no hard feelings, i hope! :)

why do you all hate me

its not a question of hate, i dont think. its just a game and the rules are deception and misdirection and redirection and theory testing, trying to psych people out, figuring out who to trust, reading between the lines, gauging responses, etc.

anyways, heres my public apology to davealmighty for hammering home my suspicions so hard, cause thats really all they are--suspicions

and for the record addc182, i never thought you were mafia

Why choose me? How do I know that sacrificial's not mafia, or addc or even you again john.

I say give the no-shows one more chance.

John is not Mafia. I am not in the alliance either, but John contacted me with suspicions about Lt-David. I had my own feeling about it as I had voted for Lt-David him both rounds, hence my earlier posts encourqging others to do the same.

I was fairly sure that Revierjohn was a mafia member who was contacting me to throw me off and make me vote for the wrong people. However, now that he was right about Lt-David, I can be fairly certain that he is not Mafia.

So since neither John nor I are part of this "alliance" and have not been contacted by anyone from the alliance, I'm not so sure that it has unbalanced the game. The "unnofficial" allaince that John developed with me and others helped more than anything I think. We could still find out that John or I are Mafia after all, in which case the game would have worked exactly how it should - people trusting others and then getting stabbed in the back.

So is the alliance unbalancing the game? I don't think so, but I don't think it's necessary either.

But don't worry - for some reason I don't think I'll be around much longer to give my opinion.... Little help here next round doctor?

lol i know

see i was testing you emotionally :p

insert your mom joke here

i thought you were on day one, hence the "rEiVeRjOhN is learder of the mafia" post

but then again, i have havn't yet voted for someone and then them ending up dead....

i like the way everyone (even me) says how they actually think everything is going down because they think they'll be killed off next

makes it much more interesting putting you neck on the line

you should try it non-voters

Day 3 Morning

Sorry for the delay in broadcast, the WWDC 07 is happening right now and I'm trying to follow that live feature. This morning aubaine was found dead in his apartment. He appears to be murdered by the Mafia while gaming on his console. No other information was released.

-------------

I just want to say, the so called "alliance", not even an alliance, is quite uneffective, and have no influence to this game (from my point of view). Thats all I can say with my decision on informing selected members.

If the 3 non "active" members don't vote this day they will be eliminated...

Cast your towns vote right away! 11 hours left.

I am not in the alliance either, but John contacted me with suspicions about Lt-David. I had my own feeling about it as I had voted for Lt-David him both rounds, hence my earlier posts encourqging others to do the same.

And all because of my 'mafia' avatar...

Not to worry though, I was expecting to be voted off as a result of your suspicions, so we planned a little something for you ahead of time:

Your a mean, mean person david.

they killed aubaine cause they thought he was the sherriff. i know theyre furious that they were wrong. i suspect they made this mistake because aubaine talked publicly about our informal alliance (not the supposed official alliance of the game). for those others out there who i am talking to, please dont mention here that we are conversing. i really think that may have been what got aubaine killed. :(

btw, you two remaining mafias, im not the sherriff either but if it buys an extra day for our law enforcer, by all means make me your next target ! :p

:( , lt-davidw, i know you said the rules said it was all random, but too many people just thought youd be given a mafia job cause its so cool and you deserved a reward. for the life of me i dont know why they went for shof though. i didnt vote for him to be hanged. as far as the ohter townspeople go, i can say with a clear conscience that ive not voted for anyone who turned out to be innocent....

that was not the case in the previous game when i was mafia. we were always after the sharriff and kept missing !

you never tride to contact me at all. hey i am here, and people pm me all the time and you are certainly not blocked or anything ! :D

seriously though, after todays vote (in which we will be laying to rest my good friend davealmighty), if trickfinlay2 doesnt turn out to be mafia, we are gunning for you mate ! :p

RIP aubaine :(

coolest death since elvis (Y)

it better have been a 360 he was playing on

i think we should avenge his death..... :shifty:

i vote we kill shof again (Y)

his corpse is stinking up the place a bit

360? Shaw! The only gaming machine I need is the one I'm in front of right now. If anyone is interested, I was playing BFME2: Rise of the Witch King when I died...

As you'll note in my above post, I expected to be taken out next. But my hope is that my death with shock the rest of the townspeople into action. Like when Bruce Wayne's parents were murdered. You know. Anyway. Good luck. :shiftyninja:

Another mafia member down... nice going guys :D

Now to find the last 2. The doctor isn't doing a very good job at saving people :p

Yeah, I even told him to save me this round and he didn't. Sundayx - did he even try to save anyone?

    • VirtualBox 7.2.10 by Razvan Serea VirtualBox is a powerful x86 and AMD64/Intel64 virtualization product for enterprise as well as home use. Targeted at server, desktop and embedded use, it is now the only professional-quality virtualization solution that is also Open Source Software. Presently, VirtualBox runs on Windows, Linux, macOS, and Solaris hosts and supports a large number of guest operating systems including but not limited to Windows (NT 4.0, 2000, XP, Server 2003, Vista, 7, 8, Windows 10 and Windows 11), DOS/Windows 3.x, Linux (2.4, 2.6, 3.x, 4.x, 5.x and 6.x), Solaris and OpenSolaris, OS/2, OpenBSD, NetBSD and FreeBSD. Some of the features of VirtualBox are: Modularity. VirtualBox has an extremely modular design with well-defined internal programming interfaces and a client/server design. This makes it easy to control it from several interfaces at once: for example, you can start a virtual machine in a typical virtual machine GUI and then control that machine from the command line, or possibly remotely. VirtualBox also comes with a full Software Development Kit: even though it is Open Source Software, you don't have to hack the source to write a new interface for VirtualBox. Virtual machine descriptions in XML. The configuration settings of virtual machines are stored entirely in XML and are independent of the local machines. Virtual machine definitions can therefore easily be ported to other computers. • OK, now ask yourself how are they going to enforce that law? By requiring every single adult to prove their age and provide their legal identity documents to an UNREGULATED 3rd party company that already has a long track record of multiple data breaches. Not to mention, parliament have voted AGAINST this ban, twice, and Starmer is going ahead anyway. So, where's the democracy here, because that looks like dictatorship to me. The solution here is parental responsibility, not government control. Run some public service announcements on TV and UK social media teaching parents how to setup parental controls. That's already been proven to actually work. But the, this is not and has NEVER been about keeping kids safe. It's about control and monitoring. Watching what you're doing online and controlling what you can see and what you can say.
    • Interesting read. I knew the adware was quite controversial at the time, however never realised to the point The Guardian wrote an article about Patchou. I just said no and enjoyed his creation, I’d probably be a lot more wary of something like that today though.
