why couldnt you save me?

i didn't know for sure who was going to die... i figured you like to post-a-lot, and pick on the mafia.. you deserved to die LOL... kidding.

i just didn't know who was going to die...

I think the recruitment is a good addition, either the mafia team is seriously lacking members due to them being mostly owned (this game), or than one of their members cant be bothered to play. if they recruit an important member, such as the sheriff, doctor or alliance, then... we'll have to think of something... but its going to be hard.

I think Lt-DavidW is making efforts into the next season, cause I dont think I am able to at the moment, courses and exams, but I hope to collaborate with lylesback2 into making a voting system for the future seasons.

Here is a concept that I gave to lylesback2, maybe i could get some public opinions?

Wow - I think it looks great. I don't really have any feedback, but then again I'm not a programmer.

Looks good mate, but will their be specifications for who is who in the voting system? Or will people be referred to as Player 1 or 2?

People will be displayed as names. All names will be posted (excluding your own) from the voting system. Even mafia members, doctors, sheriff and towns people will all be displayed, so it doesn't raise suspicion as to who is who.

The voting system will display 2 votes in advance for people who has busy schedules, and once voting session time has closed, the results will be posted, the member killed, saved or hung and eliminated / saved from this game. Each role in the game will have a custom designed page. Mafia members will have an elimination vote page, the doctor will have a Save Player vote page, the Sheriff will have a Suspicion vote page, and the towns people will have a Suspicion voting page too. Depending on your role, your screens will be custom and should not be shared with anyone.

If the member has been caught as mafia, or wrongfully accused, results will be instantly posted.

The system will be only for voting and results. The topic forum here on Neowin will be for discussion.

I'm quite amazed cause in my head it is quite a complex system, yet you said you can do this casually... big props to that.

On my mind right now is that, by everyone has a custom page do you mean there are specific options that is only displayed to certain members? I only have a shallow knowledge of PHP thorugh working with wordpress, but I know that PHP is able to pull strings of code depending on user, so you can have a general template, and pull an additional "Doctor" voting string that displays another option for Doctors vote and such right?

Another thing is that, rather than having members register for hte system, what if initially at game start, the system presents each player with a set of 4 letter code and each member logs in to the system using that code (fixed, cannot be changed) this ensures a easier system to work with and not have all these people registering anonymously...

Along with lessen the load on the server

Along with lessen the load on the server

I'm not worried about the load on my server, it's a mean server that can handle a lot of pressure

I really like sundayx's idea about having a single 4-letter word login (i've always done the username / password) login, but this will be different and easier to code.

For the custom pages, just think of neowin. When you click on your profile/blog, compared to someone elses, you get an editing screen, and when someone elses views it, you get the display only.

I can't explain every detail now, but you will have to wait and see :)

Lyles, since you have a neoblog

Maybe you can like post mafia news in your blog so that for those people that dont check this topic can still be up to date on all the news(maybe do the same for the site)

Sounds great! I will (with sundayx's permission) post updates about the Mafia game

Na no need my permission or anything, besides if you are to host the system with the game, you might be the best person for the moderator...

    • DriversCloud 12.1.6 by Razvan Serea With DriversCloud (formerly My-Config.com), you can explore your computer easily, safely and free. The application quickly scans your PC and identifies the hardware and software components. DriversCloud then establishes a list of the different drivers compatible with your OS and hardware. Download the drivers needed for the proper functioning of your computer. To detect your drivers, DriversCloud also displays a detailed summary of your hardware and software configuration, analyzes your BSOD, monitors in real-time your PC voltages and temperatures and lets you share your configuration online. Once the hardware components have been detected, you will be able to obtain with just a few clicks the latest drivers corresponding to the identified hardware. You can record your configuration on the site for free, and can get the corresponding URL to post the configuration to technical forums, e-mail and social networks. You can also download the detection result (the configuration) as a PDF file. To protect the user's privacy and data confidentiality, a 4-level confidentiality system was created that filters the XML marks and gives control to the user. The default level can be modified in the preferences. Using the maximum level will prevent the user from publishing his configuration and generating a corresponding PDF file. In non-connected mode, each XML configuration is stored on the server for one day (for practical reasons). However, you are given the opportunity to manually delete it. Created in 2004, and continually improved, My-Config.com has established itself on the web as a free service to PC users running Windows and Linux operating systems. The service is designed to work with the most common Internet browsers (Edge, Firefox, Chrome, Safari).
