Finally I'm back :D Please be patient and give me 2 more weeks to finish 1.4 version.

-----------

@Rebus

Yes, I'm using Polish Power Panels instead of WSH panels cause it's stable :D

-----------

Thx to Quad Master for his great foo AvA's installation guide, I'll insert your full instruction instead of mine in first post.

-----------

Another problem. On titles with long names there's a (...) at the end, obviously. Problem is if the play count goes into double (or more) digits it meshes together with the (...) and it looks horrible. How do I make it so less characters have to be shown until (...) comes up so it can move back away from the play count?

Sorry, I'm using rating view so I didn't detect this problem. I'll fix it in 1.4 ver

-----------

I just realized I have the non-updating tooltip as well... It's not a big deal but a fix would be great. By the way, thanks so much for all your hard work, dawxxx666! I love 1.03!

It's PanelsUI bug. Minimized Foobar can't update any values.

You can't even imagine the size of the smile on my face right now lol. Keep up the great work, looking forward to it! :D

good to hear daw... hopefully you'll be using the new Channel spectrum panel too... because it's transparent.

Of course, look at snapshot in that old POST

In that picture I used old version of Channel Spectrum panel, newest looks much better

Edit:

Hehe. It's good to be back so welcome everybody.

In the meantime I've decided to post some foo AvA's variations.

1)

iAvA - low version based on old Foo AvA smart wide:

*it's simplicity config in light blue (mac) color version

*I use Power Panels instead of WSH Panel

*this 'fooskin' is stable and much faster than AvA 1.03

*only left panel is changeable

*better songs name alignment (no more overlaping - too long titles are cutting, look at the snapshot) - I'll add this function to 1.4

Idea, colors and many, many other things by Konrado

2)

Modded AvA by dyniaq, who have rewrited whole code using new commands from PanelsUI 0.14.2 and made a lot of changes.

I'll try to post screens from 1.4 soon

looks awesome dawx... i have 1 question though, not sure if this is easy to code or even possible.. but do you have the ability to put in a configurable color, like under the main layout configuration say Blue(0,0,255), white (255,255,255) and have everything blue and white be changed according to those 2 options?

the things i like from Dyniaq's config are the menu text buttons up top and the thicker progress and volume bar. I always have trouble with the thin progress bar and trying to click it correctly because it's so small.. but it's looking very very hot, can't wait to use it.

y hallo thar

guys, i have a little problem with my foo and i can't seem to find the solution anywhere (ya i've read half of this thread and just couldn't find a thing).

i wanted to have my covers operated manually, so i created a folder called 'covers' in the foo directory. i put stuff there using the "artist - album.extension" scheme.

i have changed the code in globals like said here:

https://www.neowin.net/forum/index.php?show...#entry588658586

yeah, seems fine up to this point. BUT! although thumbnails are shown near the artist/date/album entry, no covers are displayed in the 'cover art' field.

like here:

http://img248.imageshack.us/img248/728/yarrhu6.jpg

i tried restarting foo, rebooting the system etc etc.

so what do i do?

I'm using

// Covers (front, back & artist) path
$setpvar(MyCoverPath,
$if(
$fileexists($replace(%foobar_path%\covers\%artist% - %album%.jpg,?,)),
$replace(%foobar_path%\covers\%artist% - %album%.jpg,?,),
    $if(
        $fileexists($replace(%path%,%filename_ext%,*front*.jpg)),
        $replace(%path%,%filename_ext%,*front*.jpg),
            $if(
                $fileexists($replace(%path%,%filename_ext%,*folder*.jpg)),
                $replace(%path%,%filename_ext%,*folder*.jpg),
                $if(
                    $fileexists($replace(%path%,%filename_ext%,*Cover*.jpg)),
                    $replace(%path%,%filename_ext%,*Cover*.jpg),
                        $if(
                            $fileexists($replace(%path%,%filename_ext%,*front*.png)),
                            $replace(%path%,%filename_ext%,*front*.png),
                            $if(
                                $fileexists($replace(%path%,%filename_ext%,*folder*.png)),
                                $replace(%path%,%filename_ext%,*folder*.png),
                                $if(
                                    $fileexists($replace(%path%,%filename_ext%,*Cover*.png)),
                                    $replace(%path%,%filename_ext%,*Cover*.png),
                                    $if(
                                        $fileexists($replace(%path%,%filename_ext%,*%album%*.png)),
                                        $replace(%path%,%filename_ext%,*%album%*.png),
                                        $if(
                                            $fileexists($replace(%path%,%filename_ext%,*%album%*.jpg)),
                                            $replace(%path%,%filename_ext%,*%album%*.jpg),
						$if(
						$fileexists($replace(%path%,%filename_ext%,*.JPG)),
						$replace(%path%,%filename_ext%,*.JPG),
						)
                                            )
                                      )
                                 )
                            )
                       )
                 )
            )
      )
)
)

and it works fine. Of course that "cover" directory is in 'Program Files/Foobar2000/covers/'

damn, that didn't work well for me.

but i figured it out!

in case anyone had the same problem:

right-click the empty space where the album art should be, go to preferences.

then sources, click add and add a similar line:

"*:/Program Files/foobar2000/Covers/%artist% - %album%.jpg". move it up, 'til it's the first position, click apply and that should do.

thx anyway, guys.

@czincz

Haha, you should told us that you are using album art panel instead of default settings :D Glad you fix it yourself

do u need any testers dawxxx ?

Hmm, beta test would be really useful. I'll add some functions and send you on PM.

Regards

Just one more thing:

The main purpose of creating iAvA was: to create foobar config which run fast, looks simplicity and have all necessary functions. I'm in consternation how slow new versions of popular PanelsUI's configs can be (unlikely even including my foo AvA 1.03 in transparency mode), o please don't expect to much buttons and functions like visualisations instead of cover etc. ;)

Edit:

@dyniaq

Welcome on neowin.net mate :cool:
