Finally I present you:

FOOAvA 1.04

Everything you need is on my website, I'm writing instruction which will soon appear on this forum.

PS. All sugestions are welcomed, but don't ask me "How can I add/get rid of..."

great Job, thanks david!

looks beautiful and works fine so far. When I switched to foobar, i would not have imagined how nice this player can actually look.

However, is it possible to position the miniplayer independent from the main window? I would love to place the mini player in the lower right corner of my desktop, but have the main window show up somewhere else when i need it (it is cut-off when launching from the mini player in the corner).

nice work,

just 2 notes about mini player mode about spectrum channel

1) background columns don't match with position of the foreground columns (see screenshot)

2) the upper line background is missing, the spectrum go upper than the background pic, see the arrow pointer on the capture below :

Everything's alright but you need latest version of channel spectrum panel.

I have some technical issues with the new skin:

There is no way to refresh the Cover Art source like in 1.03+ (I could paste a Folder.jpg in the folder of the cd i was playing and it would show up, and if it didnt, I could right click on the cover and click "refresh source" or something)

When you press the middle arrow so its just one section (instead of Cover Art and Playlist) it uses an older Folder.jpg or I think "AlbumArtSmall.jpg" and you cannot refresh this either. This makes things look really weird when you're switching between the two settings and one shows no cover and the other shows a cover.

Also it's kind of eh to have all the stars in the playlist if there is no existing rating for it, maybe if you got rid of the stars in the playlist until there is a rating and just rate a song via the Cover Art panel or MiniPlayer?

Is there any way to remove files from playlist ?

When I click DEL or choose "Remove File(s) from Library" from context menu nothing happens. Is this a bug ?

As far as I remember it was OK in the previous version ?

There`s one more thing, link on artist/album name do nothing (no search, no visual change in UI etc.).

Apart from that .. skin is really great. Keep up the good work.

You don't have to sign your posts but I believe you could remove things in the playlist by pressing DEL in 1.03 but not 1.03+

Kinda wish this would be added back in honestly, or if someone could help me do it I'd love that, because currently it does nothing and it should never delete the actual files.

Also, in the FooAva settings, changing it to album art panel shows the cover just fine, and I can do all the stuff from the previous versions, but the Album Art View does not show it, unless I was to re-import the albums.

I have the same deleting problem (or lack of) in SCPL. I've played around and it seems like a problem with the new version of Foobar2000 v0.9.5. Things were fine in the last version I used, v0.9.4.5.

Also, your Album Art View not showing covers is probably because your "MyCoverPath" isn't set right. You'd have to go through Preferences > Display > PanelsUI > "Edit Layout" button > "Globals" button ... and look for $setpvar(MyCoverPath

(Search the thread if you don't know what to do from there, or just copy the code from your old config if you still have it.)

There`s one more thing, link on artist/album name do nothing (no search, no visual change in UI etc.).

Interesting, I've played around with that and it lookes like it re-arranges the SCPL according to artist or album.

Also, that link on the CD case spine does some funky stuff for me. I'm not sure what the exact purpose for that one is. It kinda overlays a part of SCPL and Lyrics Show Panel on the album art.

It's foobar 0.9.5 bug, see here: http://www.hydrogenaudio.org/forums/index....showtopic=60392

You can create a keybord shortcut which assign 'remove' to delete key

I have the deletion issue aswell, and when i have lyrics set to autoscroll it doesnt work correctly. other than that everything else is perfect and i love it =0]

I am a major newbie to this and how do I get the lyrics to show?

I have tried to get the lyrics from the db, but eventhough i klick ok, it doesent show up. what am i doing wrong?

-Edit- when I exited foobar and started it again, the lyrics showed up. is that how it works? if so, i'm back to winamp.

I've just update components list in first post...

About the lyrics - ther are some problems with latest version of lyric show panel, but they will be fixed soon. Just check this site from time to time: http://www.hydrogenaudio.org/forums/index....showtopic=55692

The right link for foo_cwb_hooks_1.2.6 is "http://foobar.bazquux.com/downloads/foo_cwb_hooks.zip", the one you give in 1st page, i think is an ols version.

It's foobar 0.9.5 bug, see here: http://www.hydrogenaudio.org/forums/index....showtopic=60392

Thx, works like a charm now (I was using wrong command with my shortcut). I`m still un sure what`s with these links. After reinstalling foobar and all its components links were not working again, fooling around with settings sorted that out (but I don`t really know what exactly helps, cause I was changing lots of them).

PS: Co wersja to lepsza, czekam na kolejne ;) Może coś w klimacie miniplayera ? Jest naprawdę świetny.

    • Looks like the 7.1 is fake effects, can it at least do real 5.1? It says 'virtual 7.1' in all descriptions.
    • You can't, if you didn't notice, it doesn't support surround at all, it's right in the spec list.
    • Hi — I’m always interested in soundcards. Like displays, I just want to know I’m getting as much clean “sonic juice” into my brain as possible as the years take their toll. I’m not entirely sure what to take away from this review, though. It doesn’t really tell me whether the AE‑X is a good product or who it’s actually for. Most of what I’m getting is: there’s a driver to install, here’s what it looks like, and here’s what’s in the box. There’s a lot of emphasis on the SPDIF input. When you mention not needing to switch headphones between console and PC — does that mean the PC has to be powered on just to pass audio through? That seems like a fairly big waste of energy. Is this more something a streamer would use alongside a capture card? How are you testing the sound? (Also, you might want to clarify that you’re using the headphones in wired mode when you mention they’re wireless.) You mention the lack of EMI shielding — how much real‑world difference does that make compared with typical motherboard audio? On multi‑channel: what exactly isn’t supported? Does this mean Windows spatial audio (Dolby Atmos for Headphones, DTS Headphone:X, etc.) won’t work, or just that the card itself doesn’t decode surround formats? And are there any true multi‑driver “surround” headphones left that would even use that? You also highlight support for high‑impedance headphones — but what does that translate to in practice? How does it compare to driving the same headphones from a normal device, and does it make any difference for everyday, lower‑impedance models? In short, who is this card actually targeted at?
    • Yes, THIS is wordart, not the styling that can now be done. Wordart was all about those curvy words, that you could change the path of, like making words go around a circle. I don't think it can be done now, right?
