Actually I feel that the game has a different vibe online, yes it can be less personal than playing face to face, but if we have members who have heart and is into the game I think it could be very good. I just think that players need to be checking the game multiple times during the game, definitely vote, and be in communication with each other. Online, people can just register and not be part of the game, not talk to anyone and eventually not participate at all. In an actual game you can't just play and leave in the middle.

The idea is that, online you have more mysterious roles, you are more confused at other people making it actually more intense.

Day 4 Night

SacrificialSoldier murdered by the Mafia, he was the Doctor.

--------

Sacrificial you were the doctor and I have yet to recieve one Doctor vote from you. Now if you say this game sucks, if during last night you KNEW the Mafia now knows your a Doctor, you could have voted to save yourself. I don't know how bad the recruit rules are but then I know that you could have saved yourself.

Just to clarify there are 2 Mafia members remaining, original or not, and the Sheriff is still alive and well.

Hey! My voting thing was broken! First off, I could NOT vote to save myself and secondly it would not vote correctly! Now I may of been doing something incorrectly but I assure it was all technical difficulties

I see where your problem is. hmm, well the system is allocating votes to different sessions and different times, and I'm trying to keep up with it and checking the votes on a seperate spreadsheet. And we forgot that the Doctors and Sheriffs need to vote for themselves at times too, so sorry on that, could've PM or something though.

I'm probably just going to let the system run itself now and after the game ends, and by your comments, see if the votes were allocated correctly.

Are there still members on the nmvs that are apparently dead even though they are actually alive? because if so then that gives either the mafia or the townies an unfair advantage depending on what the "dead" person is. If they are mafia they can't be voted off, likewise if they are a townie the mafia can't kill then off :/

I think people have a short attention span on this game...

I think the game works fine online, just look at the first two, but in my opinion we have went wrong in several places this season:

1. It is too soon after number 1 and 2, so people are only holding interest for the first few days. The game seasons should be separated by a couple months at least, to keep anticipation high.

2. We have a few new players that do not understand the level of commitment required to play. For example, there are players that have not said a word since "I'll play".

3. lylesback2's system has great potential, but it isn't ready to drop the beta tag just yet. Consider this season a beta test.

You are correct.

There was a problem from the beginning with communication. Also, sundayx didn't understand how to set the game online, so he started doing the old method. I'm already working to fix these issues, to make sure the system can be set up and run without my assistance

There was also clock bugs, which i'm still working through. But all in all, everybody who voted did a good job on keeping up, and voting everyday, and once again, there was the usuals who didn't even login to vote...

Day 5 Night

addc182 was murdered by the Mafia. Astro Zombie left the town.

1/3 Agreed. 2 I think this is the risk of having to play this game online, obviously we are trying to do the best by killing off people who have not been participating. Also the posts minimum rules and also be enforced.

The system was not killing people off correctly, obviously I'd go back to the old method. Take today for example, Shof is the latest to be killed, but he died on Day 2. Also it really need to swap the Night and Day cycles on the system, right now its swapped, and so I have to swap them manually so that it would run the game correctly. Right now we are at session 10, Day 5 Day, but on your system it is Night, so Mafia and Sheriff only can vote.

Thirdly is that the Doctor and Sheriff need to be allowed to vote themselves. SacrificialSoldier pointed this out, and I think we need this enabled.

Fourth is the problem with dead people's votes. As they voted two session ahead, if they died in the first one the votes are not cleared, so their votes for the second session still stands. Also if another person was to vote for this same person twice, the system would count the vote even though it goes to the dead.

Day 7 Night

The Mafia murders magik. This concludes the game, the Mafia have retaking the crown. Thank you all who have participated or had placed interest.

The remaining members are mikebiacsi, duntkno, mr.pingu and DJLunacy. Original Mafia members were Rahul, perochan, mr.pingu and Jase. Sheriff was Steffan, Doctor was SacrificialSoldier, Alliance members were mikebiacsi, duntkno, addc182 and Larney. mikabiacsi was later recruited by the Mafia.

The spreadsheet can be viewed here. Note that there could be some inconsistencies because there were some technical difficulties with collaborating with the system. Hopefully the system will be running perfect the next time the game begins. Thank you for you inputs and see you in the next session.

    • I need to understand the rationale of not shipping all of these K2 improvements in a single update/release. It's giving "we will fix Windows 11 but no commitments". It seems to me that they just announce these improvements just to appease the community.
