Cannot Install KB935807

BTW, i also have a problem installing KB929435 which bugs me since it says "this update does not apply to this system" and I have like 3 software programs that this hotfix helps. I also checked for it being installed already and its not even there.

Thanks for posting what update it was, because it was causing ALL of my updates (like 7 of them) to fail every day and was starting to get annoying. I've disabled that one (hidden it) so it appears to finally be working. :) I have the Windows Firewall disabled, so that may have something to do with it.

if your running a different firewall or you have the windows one dissabled then the update iwll fail as the firewall service isnt actually running

I have no third party firewall and do have the Windows one running, and it still fails here ;-)

I am also having the same problems. Infact I tried to install them 3 times but they all failed :(

as long as you have the 807 grouped with any others..they will all fail....uncheck 807 and the rest will install fine.

According to the MS Security Bulletin, this update refers to the Vista Firewall. The issue is described as "Vulnerability in Windows Vista Firewall Could Allow Information Disclosure (935807)" and is a moderate threat.

I can hide this one then....I'm alot safer with my 3rd party Firewall it seems...LOL

well, since vista was ever deployed to public, i only hear critisisim, some one ask billgates to get a SP1 soon,.,, plz

I have a similar issue, but not with Vista - it's with XP ....

KB939373 keeps installing and installing ad nauseam (it disappears after every reboot), so I had to do a manual download then told Automatic Updates to not show this update again.

Got the same issues with KB935807 too. Windows Firewall is running fine and no 3rd party firewall installed. No solutions yet?

Workaround (admin cmd):

32-Bit: md %windir%\system32\logfiles\firewall

64-Bit: md %windir%\system32\logfiles\firewall && md %windir%\syswow64\logfiles\firewall

You should be good to go afterwards. I wonder why/how this folder would have gotten deleted? The update worked fine for me on the first try.

I'm not surprised if people, complains "KB935807 errors", has used CCleaner or other cleaners.

The cleaners damage the system too often.

agreed...and MS wouldn't have pulled it...if it wasn't for some 'DUH' on their part.

Anyone knows how to remove the "Failed" entries? It's cluttering the logs.
