Facebook user caught in 'ghetto dude' backlash

Recommended Posts

It says they're using her profile photo, which anyone could get by searching for anyone's name.

not necessarily, you could only get the picture if you could find her entry in the first place, which may be blocked as per privacy settings. And in any case a simple search picture is too small to be of any use anyways.

ah shait .. i am and was and still be called by different "names" and i seriously dont see why they make such a big fuss about getto dude ... hell i've been called worse and did not bother me ... why not do something else with the time other than "cry wolf" over such words ....

It isn't like he is being labelled in the school yard. This is business. This is life. He had excellent credentials and is still being pigeonholed because of his skin colour and heritage.

Oh no, I understand that, I had not heard about the story...I was more curious about what started it. :)

lol

when you said:

It seems around the net that it may have had to do with the locs...
I thought by locs you meant locations, ie facebook network, not dred-locs. :)
No asiaphile. An asian guy like me would beat up people like you..

Dude, honestly you're playing the anti-racism card a bit too much. Besides you're fighting fire with fire - being hostile to those that are racist against your culture. Just face it: racism will always exist, the media loves blowing these 'comments' out of proportion, and people regularly joke about stereotypes in jest (hopefully). For those that are serious about it or use racism as an excuse to fit in , just ignore them and get along with everyone else.

On topic: what happened to those other two Aileens: the one that made the racist comment and the one that was falsely accused of racism?
