PzSniper Posted July 28, 2007 Share Posted July 28, 2007 I got some issue with hangs and freeze on my XP Sp2..here the log: The protected system file c:\windows\system32\drivers\wdmaud.sys could not be restored to its original, valid version. The file version of the bad file is 5.2.3790.3959 The specific error code is 0x800b0100 [No signature was present in the subject. Can someone please post the SP2 original wdmaud.sys file? The event came after sfc /scannow and another error is: The system file c:\windows\system32\drivers\pci.sys could not be copied into the DLL cache. The specific error code is 0x00000000 [The operation completed successfully. This file is necessary to maintain system stability.
