err....not following you korbendallas....what should I change to fix this ?

Kcc: you don't have to change anything as long as u only use 2 pngs (today and 1 forecast). I'd like some more days and so I added more meters and pngs for 3 days.

and judge, i am using winxp sp1, if that help. i am finding that after long periods of time, the temp and condition say "Unknown" i have to refresh it to get it to work, so i dont know if you can fix that or not.

A few questions there!

• There are 5 days numbered 0 thru 4. So you can add forecasts for more days if you want.
  
• The first day is 0, its PNG is .tmpImageforecast0.png
  
• The display is only as good as the data. If you're seeing something weird, check out what is in the file scripts/weather.cache.xml.
  
• Looks like the developers are thinking of adding a native way of restarting the client, so we won't have to make these hacks anymore

judge, the pngs are accurate and correspond to the xml file....the only porblem Im having is the refreshing thing....not working....and the two instances opend when the code refreshes....cant understand whts going on.....

Sounds like what I was geting on W2K, but not on XP. Can you try editing the config file using the samurize config editor, selecting the meter between the two panels and hitting the 'test' script button. Does it report an error?

How are people getting the forecast with the ExtendedWeather script? I don't see an option for forecast or anything like next day...

u say it uses png 0 to 4. why does forecast0 use png1 in your script then? (I think that way it shows the correct pngs, starting with 0 won't work for me at least...)

fixed the pngs, must have mixed some of the standard weatherplus files with yours. 0 to 4 works great! sorry for my blasphemy :blush:

judge...I get no error when I test what you asked....Simply what happens is that when the getcachefile gets a new file, a new instance is loaded but a have to reload manually to refresh, and close manually the new instance loaded....

works fine here! judge: what do you do about the icons sitting in the system tray after the refresh? (as long as u don't move over the "old" client icon with the mouse to make the tray refresh there are quite a lot of those client icons...)

I'm probably the only n00b to do this but for anyone who is having problems with Judge's weather script, make sure you are using version 0.85c or higher of Samurize!! I tried for days to get this to work just to realize that I was still using 0.84!! Upgraded and BOOM! Works great! :blush:

I only just saw this last night - I normally have the taskbar hidden and I use ObjectBar to give me a systray instead because I use ObjectDock (you following this :blink: ?). The ObjectBar systray doesn't have the same problem...

Someone on the samurize forms said that if you turn off the 'hide icons' feature of systray, the problem goes away?

judge: tried that ( I had followed your advice to search the samurize forums before) but doesn't work. even if it would... I got too much in my systray to NOT use hide icons ;-)

err....besides the systray icons....a have no automatic refreshing....have to reload config file, manually....Is this happening to me only ?
