Is anyone recently having trouble with Judge's weatherscript? It just randomly stopped working now and all the fields say N/A. I've tried rebooting and such, deleting the cache/html files and reloading it but still nothing works. Any ideas?

I've had it working since release and now kaput!

I seem to be having a few probs over here, goo figure lol. Well I have everything working here so far on you desktop weather, which at this point I might add is very well done. Nice to see ppl take pride in what they do. Well now for my prob. It seems that for some reason I canot get any of the ( getTemperature, getFeelsLike, getHighLowFC, getWindSpeed.) to work on my script, with your last judgeweather script they worked fine, but now nothing?(temps i mean)

BTW I??m from Halifax, Canada if you like to check and see if its me that has the prob or not. ??

Hei dude,i think you can refer to this page written by judge.At the beginning i met problems like you,but after reading it,i solved the problems....hope this could help:happy:ppy:

I ran into the same problem with Judge's weather script a few days ago myself and finally traced it down. Open the DesktopWeather script and change the "www" in the hourlyURL and dailyURL lines to "w3". Hope this helps someone.

I followed both instructions to a tee and still no go, just doesn't want to give me any temps for some reason, the rest works well.

any more suggestions would be helpful?

There seems to be something odd over at http://weather.interceptvector.com/list.php after you choose you location and pick the xml file, it always says permission denied. Maybe this is why the weather script isn't working right now...

download the program and just try adding some meters, from there, learn a little about what perfmon's can do, then go nuts. :D

Hey dude,i test Halifax, Canada on my pc,it just works fine.I just follow judge's tutorial.But i change something about the daily URL.Here we go:

1.change city to: Halifax, Canada

2.In judge's tutorial,he told us to change daily url to this:(in your case)

dailyURL = "http://www.weather.com/outlook/travel/local/CAXX0183"

but i change it to this:

dailyURL = "http://www.weather.com/outlook/travel/local/CAXX0183?dayNum=0"

3.Hourly URL is the same as judge said.

hourlyURL = "http://www.weather.com/outlook/travel/detail/CAXX0183?dayNum=0"

That's all.I just change 3 places in my weather script,and it wors fine for Halifax, Canada.

And if you don't want to change it yourself,here's the DesktopWeather.vbs for you.Even more,if you want the whole samurize folder,PM me,i can rar it and send it to your mailbox.:D

I tested Halifax out here too and it works fine for me except like I said above, I have to use w3.weather.com. For some reason, a few days ago, the original code of www.weather.com stopped retrieving the pages for me.

Anyway, here's the lines from Judge's script that I use:

hourlyURL = "http://w3.weather.com/weather/detail/" & CITY & "?dayNum=0"

dailyURL = "http://w3.weather.com/search/search?where=" & CITY

aho, wouldnt you know it? My weather script quit working for me a week ago... I go to weather dot com, and see that they changed their url from www to w3, so I edit my script accordingly. No go. I browse the forums, since I figure trying to sort this out myself will not only give me that sense of self-satisfaction, but keep my from whining in an e-mail to Judge and looking like a total fool. So, I read a bit, and see that I need to change the path of the url to weather dot com to include the words "local" and "driving". OOOOOkay. I do that. Still no go. I read some more, and see that maybe I need to totally obliterate the Getcachefiles command and remake a new one. ( Since I know jack squat about VB anymore, and all this "get" and "if" commands confuse me to no end, I skipped this part :p ). Bah. So I wait. And wait. And, today I pasted teh original script back into the Samurize folder and pasted my zip code back into it. Wadda you know?? It's working again.

Ahhh... this magical thing we call the interweb. If it isnt supplying me with pr0n, it's confusing me to no end.

First of all thanx you very much for all your help yeep, I followed everything you said once again and no go, Really spooky i must say, so before i ditch this mess l decided to d/l your made script there and bam it worked, well everything but the get temp, so i don't know.

Hey, I know this is probably a stupid question, and there's probably a better place for it, but what meter are you guys using for CPU usage? I can't find one to use for a simple percentage figure, as all of the ones in perfmon are something complicated.
