Maximum Error
The time staps are the same on both the file here and the advanced description is identical on the digital signature....... seem it is safe to asume these are the official release of the older ones. (same for both updates btw - not just the one i have pictured)
jbarcus81
I tried to install and got a message saying the updates didn't apply to my system... probably because I already have the leaked updates installed?

Mark Schieldrop
No word on whether MS will dish these out next Tuesday. Even if they don't, there's no harm in installing them now. It's final code.

jakem1
I have a weird problem installing KB938979. The patch installs OK but once the PC restarts all my user icons on the login screen are duplicated. I've tried reinstalling but to no avail. Has anyone got any suggestions or similar experiences? Both patches installed fine on my other PC.
eilegz
If User Account Control is disabled on the computer, you cannot install a network printer successfully. This problem occurs if the network printer is hosted by a Windows XP-based or a Windows Server 2003-based computer. great thats what i need :D now i have to try
jakem1
I got to the botttom of my problem. I have a fingerprint scanner on my laptop and I had to uninstall the drivers and Omnipass recognition software before installing the update. It looks like it is probably a problem with Omnipass rather than the updates as other users have experienced the same issue when upgrading Vista. geoken
It's only been a minute since I installed and rebooted, but I already noticed that they fixed an issue I was having with the Adobe Reader PDF preview handler. I was instanly greeted by 3 pdf's on my desktop showing a preview of their content instead of an icon.
Johnnychangs
Its been a couple hours and I can tell a difference in speed. Also, my 2GB Sandisk Micro USB flash drive can now be used with Readyboost. Prior to the updates, I got a message saying that I couldn't use it with ReadyBoost.
