Is Paul going to be in the next series? Or was he just visiting the set etc? I would love for him to be involved in the next series, he's a terrific actor for starters and such an underrated Doctor imo.

The talk is he took that when he filmed his webisode

Line of Duty star Keeley Hawes is to join the cast of Doctor Who. Starring opposite the Doctor, Hawes will guest star for one episode in Peter Capaldi's first ever series as the Time Lord.

Hawes will play Ms Delphox, a powerful out of this world character with a dark secret. Travelling across space and time the Twelfth Doctor and his companion, Clara Oswald will come face to face with the mysterious Ms Delphox when they arrive on a strange and puzzling planet.

In my opinion, they have moved it so far away.  Feels like they really don't care about fans. just shedules... don't know why Im surprised with the BBC.

Yeah it will feel like a complete year when it returns :(

Doctor Who: Tom Riley to star in Mark Gatiss-penned episode

Tom Riley is to guest star in the upcoming series of Doctor Who.

The 32-year-old actor, who has appeared in Da Vinci's Demons, Monroe and Twenty Twelve, will beginning filming the Mark Gatiss-penned episode soon.

Last week, Gatiss revealed on Twitter that he is writing two new Doctor Who episodes.

Ben Miller is set to guest star opposite Peter Capaldi when the new series of Doctor Who returns this autumn.

Commenting on his role, Ben Miller says: "As a committed Whovian I cannot believe my luck in joining the Twelfth Doctor for one of his inaugural adventures. My only worry is that they'll make me leave the set when I'm not filming."

Miller achieved fame as half of comedy duo Armstrong and Miller before success in dramas, including Primeval and, more recently, as DI Richard Poole, the central character in the first two series of the BBC?s Death In Paradise.

Miller?s partner in comedy, Alexander Armstrong, appeared in Doctor Who?s 2011 Christmas Special, playing Reg Arwell, but it?s Miller?s first time on the show and he?ll be starring in an episode written by Mark Gatiss.

Steven Moffat, lead writer and executive producer, adds: ?Mark Gatiss has written us a storming villain for his new episode, and with Capaldi in the TARDIS, we knew we needed somebody special to send everybody behind the sofa. And quite frankly, it's about time Ben Miller was in Doctor Who!?

Other familiar faces confirmed to join Peter Capaldi and Jenna Coleman in the new series, which will TX on BBC One later this year, include Tom Riley and Keeley Hawes.

  I hope she stays on for more than 1 season with Capaldi.

Apparently BBC have been shown the first few eps with Capaldi and it's meant to be the best Who yet

The BBC is said to be ?delighted? and "thrilled" with the first episodes of Peter Capaldi?s Doctor Who.

Around five are understood to have been completed and a source on the show says that Capaldi looks on course to ?make one of the best Doctors ever?.

I need to remember I promised myself I'd actually watch Dr Who this season.

I liked some of the last 2 seasons (especially Karen Gillan) ..and I was a big fan of Dr Who in the 80s.

Didn't like Ecclestone or Tennant much in the few episodes I saw and I detested that guttermouth comedian that was a companion.

    • Classic outlook, not only does it have a much fuller feature set, it doesn't include Microsoft attempting to sync my emails from my servers to theirs. If classic outlook is ever removed from office, and the version I paid for in 2021 stops working for some reason, I'll use Thunderbird.

Rendering is done using a separate non-blocking process so it can be stopped, paused and restarted. Kdenlive also provides a script called the Kdenlive Builder Wizard (KBW) that compiles the latest developer version of the software and its main dependencies from source, to allow users to try to test new features and report problems on the bug tracker. • Here's how to watch the Xbox Games Showcase today and what to expect by Pulasthi Ariyasinghe The June games showcase week has been a packed one, with everything from major presentations like Sony and Summer Game Fest to indie-focused reveals coming in almost every day. Now, it's almost time for another big one, with Microsoft bringing its Xbox Games Showcase back later today. This is a double feature too, with a Gears of War E-Day deep dive also being attached to it. For anyone wanting to tune in online, the 2026 Xbox Games Showcase is kicking off at 10 AM PT | 1 PM ET | 6 PM BST | 7 PM CEST later today, June 7. The event will be available to watch on the official Xbox YouTube (4K 60FPS), Twitch, Facebook, Steam, Amazon Live, and other portals. Separate livestreams for American Sign Language and Audio Description will also be available. "This year marks 25 years of XBOX, and this Showcase is poised to be a true celebration, offering world premieres, new gameplay, fresh updates, and more for a swathe of projects we cannot wait to share," said Microsoft about this presentation. With a new CEO behind it that is pulling off some interesting moves, Xbox may have some surprises to reveal today. New looks at first-party games like Halo Campaign Evolved from Halo studios, Fable from Playground Games, InXile Entertainment's Clockwork Revolution, Mojang's Minecraft Dungeons II, and Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 4 from Infinity Ward are to be expected here. We may finally get to see the new Blade from Arcane Studios in action and a new Persona game from Atlus at the showcase too. Surprise announcements may also arrive from other Microsoft-owned studios like Bethesda, MachineGames, Ninja Theory, Obsidian, Rare, World's Edge, or Blizzard. Considering how every new release nowadays is staying away from November and December to avoid Grand Theft Auto VI's release, any launch dates Microsoft announces will probably skip those months as well. Once the Xbox Games Showcase ends, Microsoft will immediately kick off the Gears of War: E-Day Direct. This deep dive into the upcoming prequel from The Coalition should attach gameplay footage and perhaps a release window to the highly anticipated project.
    • People in the '50s and '60s had the same attitude, and we're still here over a half century later.
    • So after some fiddling I was able to get it to run at a pretty stable 30FPS. I'm slightly surprised about how much fiddling I had to do to get there though given what I thought was reasonable hardware: Processors: 16 × AMD Ryzen 7 7840HS w/ Radeon 780M Graphics Memory: 16 GiB of RAM Graphics Processor 1: AMD Radeon 780M Graphics Graphics Processor 2: AMD Radeon RX 7700S I think I could do it better if I use Linux rather than Windows, Windows RAM usage is stupid without stripping the system down. But once I got it working in a reasonable state, it was so awesome! I felt like a new Bond! If anyone has any advice to get things going a bit smoother FPS-wise, I'd appreciate it.
