Best 2.1 Speaker for PC?

I'm looking to get some new 2.1 speakers, some good ones!!

I have an old SB Live, and a pretty good set up.

I don't need 4 or 5.1 speakers, since I'm not a huge audiophile.

Unless you guys can convince me price wise (price/proformance ratio)

that 4 or 5.1's would be better. I'm into playing some good games and

watching a lot of DVD's w/ my girfriend or just jamming out playing

guitar while blasting some MP3's. Price isn't much of a factor, but I

definately want some really good ones that can handle a lot of high range

and mid range sounds as well as the ability not to drown out or get distorted

at high volumes so i can **** off the other residents of my apartment complex!! :D

If you can provide me w/ links to tech/review sites to backup your claims or suggestions

that would be much appriciated!! :alien:

Honestly, if price isn't much of a factor, I'd get some logitech speakers. I know that the z560 speakers are absolutely amazing. Those pump out some really crisp and clean sound. I'm sure you can find them for about $150. There is nothing better than watching DVDs in surround sound.

But if you really want to get some 2.1 speakers, then get some Klipsh or Altec Lansing speakers.
