Warner Bros has announced that Muggles will now be able to see Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince a few days early. The film which was set for Friday July 17th, will now hit theaters two days earlier on Wednesday, July 15th 2009. This means that there will now probably be Tuesday night midnight screenings in some theaters.

This film has already been heavily criticised by some general public that got to see an advanced screening a while back. Appenrently there's a lot of scenes that don't happen in the book and the prince mentioned in the title barely makes an appearance according to those people. Worst harry potter yet a lot of them called it.

I'm not that kind of a fan who wants the film to be exactly like the book, I love new additions and scenes, keep things exciting and fresh. :)

About "the prince" complaint, the book didn't have that much about him either except for the very end, which what the film apparently does exactly.

I loved ootp and many people hate it, that's why I won't take others' opinions for it, I like to be the judge myself.

Order was a great movie. People just have to get off their high horse expecting the movies to follow the books to the letter. It's not going to happen. Go with an open mind and they really are pretty great movies for what they are - 2 hour films.

I seriously doubt this one will disappoint, given what I've seen of it.

Well said! :)

The final trailer will be released in a half an hour or so, I'm so excited that I can't sleep. :p

That's just as I see it. I don't mind any new stuff, as long as it's nicely done.

I generally prefer to judge by myself as well (not just with movies).
