So far, from what I've been testing:

Doesn't work in Intenet Explore 6 or 7, No go with spaces, no go with Copy & pasting a symbol from a sentence where it did not work.

҉It works for me! You just have to make sure that you are typing after you paste one that DID work when you copied it. If it didn't work, it won't work for you either.
