Good, then you will not mind the 10 month wait after this season is over for season 5 to start.

What I'm hoping they'll do is finish the eight episodes during the summer months (filming them) and then play them in fall schedule.

They could still do 16 episodes for season five, but they could push the date back a little so they could have a few weeks or a month off in between filming the last 8 episodes for season 4 and 5. Say start it in Feb. 12 and that will run all the way to the end of May '09.

That of course depends on how ambitious the alphabet network wants to be though.

If they don't do that, then we may end up with a split couple of seasons again.

They could do it like this...

Season 5 - 20 episodes

Season 6 - 20 episodes

That will give the 40 episodes left (after season four). But then they would either have to start earlier in Jan. Or they start in Nov (sometime late fall) and run four episodes so that they get the sweeps months in and run the last 16 episodes in Feb-May.

I am begging that you are right.

There were several promos last night for different characters. Sawyer is one of my favorite characters on Lost, mostly due to his way with words: http://youtube.com/watch?v=RjGm9w24GgA
