Damn that Video was mad, the quick flashes of other pictures was mad. I like the one that said "God loves you as he loved Jacob" :o

Yeah. Its like every Dharma video there is, its been edited. Don't think the "Room 23" video was edited.

Its a bit like the arrow station splice that was found in the bible, they basically take bits out and added bits thus the jumps and weirdness...this is the transcript!

[A cue card with a DHARMA logo is held up as indistinct whispers are barely audible. The film jerks and clarifies to show Marvin Candle. A woman is applying make-up to his face.]

CANDLE: I'll never get used to wearing make-up.

MALE VOICE: You look great! It takes away the shine.

CANDLE: Who cares if I shine? I'm a scientist, I'm not a...

[Film jumps to show a rabbit on a table. A female assistant lifts it up and passes it into Candle's arms.]

MALE VOICE: Turn the rabbit around, please.

[Candle does so, revealing a painted number 15 on the animal's side.]

MALE VOICE: Got it.

[Film jumps again; an image of Gerald DeGroot is shown for a brief moment.]

CANDLE: Hello. I'm Doctor Edgar Halowax, and this is the Orientation Film for Station 6 of the DHARMA Initiative. As you [the Narvik building overlaps for a brief moment] have no doubt surmised, Station 6, or "the Orchid", is not a botanical research... [cut, image of building in swan orientation film when "social engineering" is mentioned can briefly be seen] We apologize for asking you to deceive your family and colleagues. This is, of course, in the interest of their own security. The unique properties of this Island created a kind of Casimir effect, allowing us to...

[A shot of the Room 23 film is very briefly shown, reading "God loves you as He loved Jacob". The film resumes with Candle holding the rabbit again.]

CANDLE: The field you have been selected to study is highly volatile and potentially dangerous. But, over the next few minutes we will demonstrate the elaborate safety measures that have been put in place to ensure... [an object falls from above Candle with no crashing noise] ... the hell?!

[On the shelf above Candle is another white rabbit with the number 15 painted on its side. Several people start shouting, and the assistant runs past Candle.]

MALE VOICE: Hey, what is that?! What's going on...?!

ASSISTANT: Oh God, it's fifteen!

CANDLE: ... the hell?!*

Don't let them near each other! When did you set the shift?

ASSISTANT: Negative 20!

[A recorded female voice counts backwards from ten, cutting off at "three".]

CANDLE: How long?

ASSISTANT: Nine minutes, but we're still learning how to...!

CANDLE: [looks at camera] Why is that still running?

MALE VOICE: He told me to keep the camera running...

CANDLE: Turn it off. Turn it off!

[The camera cuts briefly to an upside down frame of someone riding a bicycle through the Barracks. Candle's voice can be heard very faintly, mentioning "harvesting". The film then cuts back to Candle without any alarm or chaos.]

CANDLE: Hello. I'm Doctor Edgar Halowax, and this is the Orientation Film for Station 6 of the DHARMA Initiative. As you have no doubt surmised, Station 6, or "the Orchid", is not a botanical research unit.

[The film cuts off.]

Does anyone else think that the intro guy to the Lost podcasts is a complete tool?

Just a bit ;)

Question: Pre-strike, Cynthia Watros was slated to return to Lost as Libby in the second half of the season. Now that we're probably only getting five of this season's back eight, is there any word on whether she still figures into the plans?— Brian

Ausiello: Libby actually pops up in the final pre-strike episode (now airing in late April), and the original plan was for her to return for at least one or two more this season. Whether or not that's still happening is an open question. I imagine that's one of many issues Team Darlton is hammering out as we speak.

Question: More Lost scoopage, please! — Barb

Ausiello: You've probably seen this clip from tomorrow's episode of Chef Locke delivering two eggs over easy to Ben in solitary. Well, wait until you see the breakfast he whipped up for his other prisoner. Hint: It's bursting with flavor and, if digested properly, quite the appetite suppressant.

Question: Do we know anything about Andrea Roth's character on Lost — aside from her being a shrink? — Toby

Ausiello: I don't know if we know anything, but I know that she plays somebody from Juliet's past in the March 6 episode.

Question: What can you tell us about the character dying on Lost? Have they been on the show since the beginning?— Bonasi

Ausiello: Yes, this person is an original 815er. And as far as major Lost deaths go, this one veers from tradition in one significant way.

Question: How 'bout some Lost scoop! And where can us Ausholes send your birthday gifts? — Angelique

Ausiello: Click here for what would seem to be a major spoiler about Ken Leung's Miles.

Right! So that death is out of Sun, Jin or Sawyer!

    • Qualcomm's new Snapdragon Reality Elite chip brings on-device AI to Android XR devices by Pradeep Viswanathan Qualcomm has been delivering dedicated SoCs for mixed reality and spatial computing devices for several years. The journey started with the Snapdragon XR1, followed by the Snapdragon XR2 in 2019, the Snapdragon XR2 Gen 2 in September 2023, and finally the Snapdragon XR2+ Gen 2 in 2024. Today, Qualcomm announced a major upgrade with the new Snapdragon Reality Elite Platform, which targets premium mixed reality and spatial computing devices. OEMs can use this SoC to power both all-in-one video-see-through headsets and lightweight, tethered optical-see-through glasses. Qualcomm highlighted that the Snapdragon Reality Elite will power the next wave of Android XR devices coming later this year. These wearables will offer better visuals, improved power efficiency, and deeper on-device AI integration compared to the previous generation. The Snapdragon Reality Elite can deliver up to 48 TOPS of AI performance, allowing large language models and large vision models to run directly on the device for the first time. In addition to enabling new spatial AI experiences, these new AI capabilities will improve head and hand tracking, as well as see-through features. On the performance side, the Snapdragon Reality Elite offers up to 60% higher GPU performance, up to 30% higher CPU performance, and up to 160% higher NPU performance compared to the previous generation. The platform supports visuals of up to 4.4K per eye at 90 frames per second for sharper images and smoother motion. Qualcomm is also claiming significant efficiency improvements. The Snapdragon Reality Elite can offer up to 20% longer battery life under the same workload. More importantly, the chipset can run up to 12 degrees Celsius cooler under load, making headsets more comfortable for users to wear for longer periods. The platform also includes improvements to video see-through, featuring lower latency and better image quality. Qualcomm states that its EVA hardware block helps accelerate demanding computer vision workloads, improving how digital content blends with the real world.
    • Umm... GitHub continues to use AWS. That's the story, that's the headline. There's no "new" news here. GitHub continues to require additional capacity beyond the originally-planned Azure allocations. There's nothing special about this; nothing noteworthy. They're still using AWS' infra until the cutover is complete.

    • "just $100 per TB"? Just? Are we trying to make this seem like the new normal? Kinda weird to make it sound like that is not a ridiculously expensive asking price.
