I think the thought is when Christian arrived, Michael had done his duty and he can now go/die which he probably has.

Yeah, remember he said "I'm on this boat to die" So what do you think happend to Christian then? He can't die...again.

Were there even any answers in the finale (sans "who was in the coffin")? We didn't learn about:

  • the smoke monster
  • Jacob
  • 4 toed statue
  • how the Black Rock is in the middle of the island, although, it is now pretty obvious, it was just in the wrong place at the wrong time 18 years ago when they lase "moved" the island and it just so happened to ppp up under the boat)
  • Walt's powers that were so prevalent in the first season
  • the numbers, again
  • why jack is the only one on the island to get sick
  • why that one guy never gets old
  • where Vincent (that's the dog, right?) went
  • Anything else from the first 2 seasons.

The only questions that were answered were ones that were raised this season: Who is in the coffin, and why did Ben fall out of the sky and who are the Oceanic 6 (and that question was answered several episodes ago).

Well you're also assuming that he can be hurt; I don't think we've seen any of the "dead" people who have appeared get hurt.

Just because he appeared doesn't automatically mean he can die or that he would stick around long enough for the explosion; he could easily disappear as much as he could appear. The same doesn't apply for Michael and Jin.

To be honest i am also getting pretty bored with it, We still have a lot of questions unanswered and to be honest i don't think we will ever find these out. There is also a lot of things that happened in season one and two that they have just forgot about. If you ask me the producers do have the answers either, i am sure only time will tell !!

Sorry if this was already posted, but what exactly happened to the little boat that Daniel Faraday was on? I might have to go back and rewatch this part, but I seem to remember them showing Faraday and the people on the raft when the island was moving which suggests that Faraday missed the exploding ship but is now driving around in the middle of the ocean with no where to go (since both the big ship and the island are gone).

We don't know. It wasn't ever explained in the episode. Either it is still in the same place looking for an island that doesn't exist anymore or maybe it was close enough to be moved with the island?

Thats one bit that wasn't answered I think he went off to the boat but that was it he either got lost in time or just lost.

From the spoilers and clips I've seen, I reckon his boat and the wreckage of the freighter (including Jin who Daniel will rescue) were close enough to be sucked away with the island on its journey into the future.

the helicopter was closer to the island than the freighter or the boat where daniel was so it's impossible that they were sucked in because they were close because the helicopter was not sucked

the only explanation is because the helicpter was airborne

and how is jin able to survive if there is no island?

I was just hearing this podcast from IGN and they said Walt could be of use next season because if you remember he looked at a book in season 1 I think it was of a bird and then that exact bird slammed into his window so maybe he could think of the island and it will tell them where it is...just a thought.

Hey, I hope NOBODY Buys the Blu-Ray of Season 4 for $66.95+! That is a RIPOFF Price!

Cuz, Season 3 was 22 Episodes for the same price for Blu-Ray(on sale)!

We got a short season (Only 14 episodes) and it should be just $40-$45!!!

And definitely a lot less than that on Standard DVD.

Wasn't it $45 for Season 3 when it first came out on Standard DVD? So, no more than $30 it should be for just 14 episodes!

I really LOVE lost, but I was afraid this was gonna happen. And, I for one, will boycott this!!!

ABC/Bad Robot need to realize, a reduced season also need to mean reduced price on DVD/Blu-ray!!!

<normal Jedi post filled with words capitalized for no reason>

All the shows are putting their normal MSRPs on the shortened seasons. It isn't just Lost.

If you don't like it, don't buy it, but those are going to be the MSRPs.

Wouldn't they (the Oceanic Six + 2) have seen Faraday's boat if it was still there after the island went bye-bye? I would think that means it did teleport with the island. I have to go back and look, but did anything post teleport show the freighter's exploded remains?

Just rewatched that part, and there aren't any scenes with smoke on the horizon or anything, but that doesn't really prove it either way anyway, just proves that its still possible everything all the way out to and including the freighter went with it.

Possibly, but the freighter went underwater shortly after it exploded, though I'm not sure how the smoke would be factored in with that. Perhaps the the route via air and water could vary with the bearing of 305? I don't know, but I'm sure it's something that will somehow be addressed in season five. The writers know people are going to ask those questions, so I'm sure there will be some kind of resolution.

Also worth noting is that the land beneath the water (the submerged portion of the island) had to go as well, so it's possible that anything within that grand area was also teleported (in the water, not the air). With that much mass suddenly missing, the water level would change significantly, which could theoretically mean the water where the island moved to was sent to the island's previous location, which could equate to the small boat being teleported as well. I guess we won't know until February 2009.

I just watched the finale, I thought it was really awesome, lost rocks :) can't wait for season 5.

I hope locke doesn't die, he's my favorite character! btw has it been confirmed that Jin in dead? couldn't he of jumped off the ship?

Yes, it is possible he lived. Michael is dead, however.

Locke is also dead. The future is the future, not a possible future. But don't worry, he'll be alive through probably all of S5, and killed in the S5 finale.

    • Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 8, Flip 8, Z Fold Wide: Everything you need to know The ONLY thing I need to know is the price, which I know will be way higher than I (and most people) are willing to pay for a phone... so basically nothing here I need to know. PS: Nice job getting that Apple reference to a non-existent and unrevealed product as "competition" in there. Cheque is in the mail.
    • Well I really think the repasting helped if your higher clocks have returned, maybe the next thing to look at is if there is a problem with your case airflow? I guess this because your 3080 has returned to optimal state, but is still staying too warm, which might suggest it was thermal throttling before you repasted, of which the only logical conclusion could be outside factors.
    • Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 8, Flip 8, Z Fold Wide: Everything you need to know by Hamid Ganji Galaxy Z Fold 7 - Image via Samsung The next generation of Samsung foldables is set to be unveiled next month at the second Unpacked event of the year. Samsung’s 2026 foldables are not expected to offer significant upgrades over their predecessors, with the Korean firm instead focusing on design refinements and conventional upgrades such as faster processors and better cameras. However, Samsung is reportedly planning to unveil an all-new passport-style foldable this year to rival Apple’s first foldable iPhone, which is expected to debut this September. Here’s a roundup of everything we know about Samsung’s upcoming foldable devices ahead of their official debut. When can we expect Samsung’s new foldables? The Galaxy Z Fold 7 and Z Flip 7 series were unveiled in July, and Samsung is expected to maintain this timeframe in 2026. Based on previous reports from Korean sources, Samsung will hold its Unpacked event on July 22 in London, UK, to pull back the curtain on the Galaxy Z Fold 8 series. The devices are also expected to hit the shelves a few weeks after launch. However, Samsung has yet to announce an official date. A new naming scheme? One of the most interesting changes we might see this year is a new naming scheme for Samsung’s latest foldables. SamMobile reported that since Samsung is expected to unveil three foldables this year, it has adopted a new naming strategy to simplify product identification for customers. Accordingly, the standard Galaxy Z Fold 8 will reportedly be called the Galaxy Z Fold 8 Ultra and will serve as the direct successor to last year’s Galaxy Z Fold 7. The “Ultra” suffix suggests the phone could feature higher-end specifications, such as additional rear camera modules. Samsung’s new passport-style foldable is expected to carry the Galaxy Z Fold 8 name without any suffix. This model is reportedly equipped with two rear cameras. No major changes are expected for the Flip model. Galaxy Z Fold 8 Ultra and Z Flip 8 anticipated specs Rumors over the past few months suggest Samsung is preparing several upgrades for its upcoming foldables, although the devices may continue to rely on larger batteries and faster charging speeds rather than dramatic design changes. The primary focus this year is expected to be the Galaxy Z Fold 8 and its wide-screen design. Galaxy Z Fold 8 Ultra official CAD renders - Image via AndroidHeadlines Here are the anticipated specifications for the Galaxy Z Fold 8 Ultra based on previous leaks: 6.5-inch outer display and 8-inch inner display, 120Hz refresh rate, and 2,600 nits peak brightness Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 processor, paired with 12GB or 16GB of RAM and 256GB, 512GB, or 1TB of storage 4.1mm thickness when unfolded and a weight of 210g 200MP main camera, 50MP ultrawide camera, 10MP or 12MP telephoto camera, 10MP cover camera, and 10MP selfie camera 5,000mAh battery with 45W wired charging Android 17 and One UI 9 As for the Galaxy Z Flip 8, the device is not expected to be a major departure from its predecessor, although it could become slightly slimmer. Expected specifications include: Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 or Exynos 2600 processor 12GB of RAM with 256GB and 512GB storage options 6.9-inch Dynamic AMOLED 2X inner dispaly and 4.1-inch Super AMOLED outer dispaly 50MP main camera, 12MP ultrawide camera, and 10MP selfie camera 4,300mAh battery with 25W wired charging Android 17 and One UI 9 Samsung’s foldables are also expected to launch with Gemini Intelligence, Google’s AI suite for automating tasks in Android ecosystem. Moreover, given current memory and component costs, some Galaxy Z Fold 8 Ultra and Z Flip 8 variants could see a price hike. Galaxy Z Fold 8 adopts a wide-screen design The centerpiece of the upcoming Unpacked event could be the Galaxy Z Fold 8, previously rumored as the Galaxy Z Fold Wide. This model adopts a passport-style form factor and is expected to compete directly with Apple’s iPhone Fold. Galaxy Z Fold 8 official CAD renders - Image via AndroidHeadlines Here’s what to expect: 7.6-inch primary OLED display and 5.4-inch cover display, 120Hz refresh rate, 2,600 nits peak brightness, and 4:3 aspect ratio Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 processor, 12GB or 16GB of RAM, and 256GB, 512GB, or 1TB storage options 4,800mAh battery with 45W wired charging 50MP main camera, 50MP ultrawide camera, and 10MP selfie camera Android 17 and One UI 9 The three new foldable phones are unlikely to be the only devices unveiled at Samsung’s Unpacked event. The company is also expected to introduce the Galaxy Watch Ultra 2 and the Galaxy Watch 9 series.
