Nestor Carbonell who plays Richard Alpert, in a recent interview about his role in the upcoming The Dark Knight, confirmed that he will be returning to LOST in August.

August is when production of Season 5 is supposed to begin filming, so it seems some recent rumors of Carbonell being a Series regular for Season 5 may be true after all?

I think this is great news because I love his character and it seems like we will get some more answers about the island!!

Here are the details, thanks to Mitchell for the heads up. What do you all think??

Latino Review has an interview with our favorite Dorian Gray himself, Nestor Carbonell aka Richard Alpert. In the interview, Nestor is asked what he has lined up, and he states, "I'm working on 'Lost' so I will be returning to that in August." So, fellow Losties, it would seem that, since production on Season 5 begins in August, our man may just be promoted to series regular (fingers crossed).

LatinoReview: What do you have coming up next after this?

Carbonell: I'm working on 'Lost' so I will be returning to that in August. I'm also current working, coincidently, on the Batman cartoon. This is called 'Batman: The Brave and the Bold'. It's the next Warner Brothers version of Batman, the cartoon.

LOST writer Carlton Cuse, along with Ugly Betty writer were a part of a TV and Film Forum in China to discuss their shows and answer some questions about the industry.

Here is a little summary of the key moments from Cuse including some of the spoilers he revealed for Season 5. There is also a tidbit about OGR at Comic-Con.

Thanks to EJ for the details and the heads up about the videos.

1) Jack v Locke (Science v. Faith) - One of the fundamental themes of show. In Season 5 Jack will become more a Man of Faith and Locke will become more a Man of Science. Locke believes his destiny is tied to this island. This will be a story line that we will explore in the upcoming seasons.

2) We will learn what happened to Locke and the others. Also, now what is Locke's destiny since he is in "charge" of the island? He has committed his destiny to this island and thinks that it will lead him to enlightenment. We will eventually see if he is right or not.

3) Locke's story is not over. There is a famous guy named Jesus Christ that was resurrected.

4) We already know what our path is and people make mistakes in theories, because there is no simple answer and they do not have enough information

5) Sawyer is his favorite: Handsome, charming and dangerous, everything he would want to be.

6) He gives a shout out to Skaters and Jaters and then mentions that we call them Darlton. Kate will end up with one of the two eventually.

7) New LOST interactive game start at Comic-Con, register to become a member of Dharma Initiative. Depending on how you do on the test you will be a Physicist, Chemist, or even a Workman.

8) Production starts in August and Season 5 will air from January to May 2009.

9) Talks a about Piracy, online downloading, some things about writing and more.

10) Does being a producer affect your story writing? No, we write first with out being a producer and then put on producers "hat". Explains this is the reason why we got an extra hour for Season 4 finale. Do not want to censor themselves as producers.

11) Discusses picketing during the writers strike and why it happened.

OMG join Dharma!!!

Just caught up on the lastest spoilers now...

That Libby thing: It was just a mistake, i don't think the producers told her what her future story line will be, just a mistake.

Need to join up to that Dharma thing! :D

Best Actress on Television: Jennifer Love Hewitt (Ghost Whisperer)

Well those awards just lost all credibility. JLH is hot and all, but she can't act and Ghost Whisperer sucks. Evangeline Lilly would have been a lot better choice for that award. So many other great actresses on TV that should have gotten that award over JLH. I'm speechless at that one.

Not reading anything posted in this topic, I've only been watching Lost for little over a month now and enjoying it quite a lot. I can definitely see where Heroes took it's episode layout and ideas from. The constant flash backs and swapping between all the characters in the same manner and so on.

There's quite a lot of dull episodes inbetween some really good ones though. Currently I'm midway through Season 2, so I've a bit of catching up to do :p

Season 2 I felt was one of the best so your watching a good season (Y)

I have to say, I miss season one's feeling. There was just something about the way the show was written then compared to now. I can't place my finger on it.

Not that Lost is bad now or anything, but something about the first season that was just awesome. I can re-watch season one over and over again. Can't do that and continue to get the same feeling with the other seasons.

But isn't that the case with top tv shows, Season 1 is always awesome because its new and innovative.

I'll grant you that on dramas, but most sitcoms are the same from season to season. Even show to show anymore is the same. At least, that's my opinion. I've never been a big sitcom fan anyway, so I'm biased against them.

Main reason why I love watching USA's dramedies (i.e. Burn Notice, Psych, In Plain Sight, etc.). Those are original compared to some of the crap the basic cable networks put on.

And some actually do better the second time around (i.e. Dexter I think was better in S2).

With regards to Lost, S4 came pretty damn close though to being as good as S1 IMO.

Really? That died mid way. I mean...R&B flashback was so pointless.

You really think so?

I would rate them like 1, 4, 2, 3.

2 was good, but there were some parts (like Sawyer proclaiming to be the sheriff) that just got to me.

I think mine goes: 1,4,2,3. Something about Season 1 made it really great.

    • That's not clickbait. Clickbait is headlines like, "You'll never guess what this person looks like now" for example. For goodness sake, take a look around the internet if you think this is clickbait. How do sites survive if people don't click through to articles? How many people in all honesty would have clicked this if it had your suggested headline? You and those upvoting your post won't be happy until the web is a couple of hundred websites all behind a paywall.

    • Or use Epic games and get full games for free. lol Steam and their demos. Thankfully there’s competition
    • Maybe I missed it, but does this say anywhere that the game save bug has been squashed? I haven't encountered it myself, but it would be nice to know I'm good to go. Anyway, amazingly well done game. Mostly more of the same. ...but when the same is best in class with improved graphics and features, then a win.
    • Well when your game flops, you should expect this. If I do bad at work, I would expect a layoff. Less than 1600 people played it on steam. https://steamdb.info/app/1934570/charts/
