Does anyone know how to remove the Opera icon from the systray?

(I dont use Opera Mail)

so far, that's my only issue/problem, too. it was simple to get around in earlier versions, but now it seems to be harder to get rid of.

I woulnd't blame that entirely on Opera., since google Writer worked perfectly in Opera, and Spreadhseets while not perfect, they worked. coincidentally, around the time Google got more and more into firefox, not only was the ability to skip the browser compatibility check removed form the google apps, but even if you camouflaged Opera as any other browsers the apps where now compeltely broken.

It's almost as if a code was introduced to them that would make sure they broke on Opera.... but who knows.. it could have ben a coincidence.. afterall Google does no evil..

i've always thought that Opera was great at memory management, or at the least better than Firefox.

Using it for the last 2 hours without reboot, maxxing out at 10 tabs which have been reduced to 5. Have not touched the mail portion. Right now i'm sitting at 180MB of usage in Vista, which is roughly the max i've ever seen for Firefox.

I used Opera Mail in Merlin, but I am not using Windows Live Mail... once Kestrel goes final I think I will try it again though...

It shows up as soon as you have an account for anything hooked up to Opera, from mail, to IRC, etc. Just go to Tools->Mail and Chat Accounts, and make sure that list on the left is entirely empty.

As for me, I have to deal with it, as there is one IRC channel I visit, and it's easier using Opera than a seperate IRC client.

opera -notrayicon

That's what I do in Linux.

I think maybe the speed is an individual experience? This version loads page slower than Firefox 2.0 on my computer. I really like Opera, it's much smoother, but I can't use a slower browser. :(

Flash embeds don't seem to work at all with this Build, they all show up like in the screenshot, anyone else got this or know a fix? (Thats a Youtube embed)

I had the same problem on a few sites. It kept crashing every 10mins or so, even when it was inactive. Switched back to 9.23 for now

All works fine for me. Don't forget this: Alpha software.

Multi-quote broken with all IP.Board and Opera 9.5a...

And of course I didn't discover this for myself until I made an epic multi-quote post, only to see all my content was completely lost.
