kribby
of course, M$ will shut this down because this bypasses WGA... nice idea. I hate the gui, though. what language did you use??? maybe I can help you out :) Link to comment https://www.neowin.net/forum/topic/587564-winup-210/#findComment-588896791 Share on other sites
Angel Blue01
I can run this utility but after it open whenever I try to do something Windows gives me a message saying I can't do that because "Program is busy." whether I want to switch to or retry. It eventually lets me do things but this takes a very long time. I also would like it if it could scan for driver downloads to replace Windows Update completely. GEGeek
Actually Microsoft wont shut it down, as Microsoft have now removed there WGA from Internet Explorer 7.0, thus you can still use this. As for language vb.net. I was thinking of just doing up some image background or something, and changing it, the colour I know is bad. The problem with driver scanning, is they're so many different types of drivers available that it could cause some problems for people when it comes to installing drivers, even though the drivers would be the correct drivers there is always the chance of a mishap. This is only a first stepping stone, and more is too come. http://www.vista-files.org/programs/jf3000-com/winup.html Link to comment https://www.neowin.net/forum/topic/587564-winup-210/#findComment-588904944 Share on other sites
GEGeek
As requested sometime ago the previous version was ugly, and I agree, i have removed everything and started again, its now more cleaner and tidier with no ugly buttons. iconoclast
It can update windows, but can't update itself? Kinda weak in my opinion. Link to comment https://www.neowin.net/forum/topic/587564-winup-210/#findComment-589150566 Share on other sites
