The Ex a.k.a. Fast Track (2006)

I really don't know where to begin with this film. First off, the title on the actual DVD case is The Ex, but it is also called Fast Track (so you might see it either way, who knows?). The film features Zach Braff as a loser (reminds me of his character in The Last Kiss) and Amanda Peet playing his pregnant wife (sounds like The Last Kiss again huh?). While there are some funny parts to the film, there was nothing that I really found laugh out loud funny.

The story is fairly simple. Braff plays a guy who can't keep a steady job, ends up working for his wife's (Peet) father and Peet's former boyfriend who is still obsessed with her is Braff's boss. He makes Braff's life a living nightmare and Braff starts going crazy.

All in all, not a very good film. Worth watching once? Sure, but not worth buying, just renting.

I really hated the boss in this movie...just wasn't that funny.

But I watched this because I like Zach Braff but didn't find anything he did very funny so yeah I await Zach's next directorial film.

2/5 from me also.

^ He needs to do another Garden State. That film was awesome!

At this point that's the only film he's ever written, but he does have three more in the works: Open Hearts, 8 Track, & Andrew Henry's Meadow. Hopefully they'll be just as good or better than Garden State.

yeah 2/5 is a good rating for this flick . . I wasn't impressed at all. I also love to watch zach braff, but this was just terrrible.
