Knight Rider Canceled after 17 episodes?

Rider The cast and crew of NBC's "Knight Rider" were informed Wednesday that the show's 17th episode will be its last for the season, sources say.

In NBC's midseason announcement today, "Rider" is listed to have its season finale on Feb. 25. The network has said it plans to overhaul the show, with the changes still to air, but the move suggests there is little expectation that a revamp will succeed.

This episode reduction could be, in effect, a cancellation, since the show's ratings have been abysmal on Wednesday nights. Unless there's marked improvement between now and the finale, it's tough to see NBC paying to bring back the show next fall.

yeah I was so excited to see this show coming out, but after the first 2 episodes...hell really after just the pilot episode I was turned off....

What competition was it up against though? Like same time slot on Wednesdays?

^ Well it wasn't really, was it? It got cancelled and it became more of a mess than it was to start with. I've watched it up to the most recent episode and I have no idea why :/.

It had some bad acting, special efffects, cheesyness, a bad attempt at humour and they made KITT to much like transformers. On the last episode KARR was too much like a transformer - the way he moved around and talked.

The only upside this show had was some good music, babes :p and the few exceptional good scenes.

Well, I had given up on the series since learning it was cancelled. I mean the KARR episode was a complete and utter disaster! However, the last episode was really cool! Full of action! Maybe NBC should give the "reboot" a chance!
