Really? You find BSG to be better than Heroes? BSG doesn't compare imho.

Anywho, there's no finalized date, but rumor has it that the fourth season will be split between 2008 and 2009, 10 episodes each. This, however, doesn't make a lick of sense because seasons shouldn't be split up like that. If true, it should be considered a fourth and fifth season, with 10 episodes each. No matter, the rumor is it'll start in February with Razor giving you a fix in November until then.

A agree with the actors... Sci-Fi doesn't know what to do with hit series. They are pretty good at turning out a weekly B-movie on a dying franchise (Highlander, Species, Tremors)... I'm quite tired w/ most of their programming. I wouldn't be suprised if they cancel Eureka for ****s and giggles...

BSG is the recipient of the prestigious Peabody Award, which is the most distinguished honor you can receive in television and radio. Emmy's...

The Best Show on Television in 2005? Yes, according to Time Magazine, Rolling Stone and New York Newsday. Praised by The New York Times, The National Review, The New Yorker, The San Francisco Chronicle, The Chicago Tribune and many other publications, Battlestar Galactica won a prestigious Peabody Award in the spring of 2006.

IMO, Heroes can't even compete in the same league as BSG.

Anyway, they are to air a Pegasus movie/extended episode sometime in November/December. The official season doesn't start until 1st/2nd quarter of 08' - and, as someone stated, this will be the final season.

As far as I'm aware, there's a feature length film about the pegasus (equivalent to 2 episodes) called Razer airing in November time and Season 4 will start in January.

This was the case as of about a month ago, not sure if it's changed since then.

Ya but Peabody awards aren't made into as big of a spectacle as the Emmy awards. The publicity of having BSG popping up on the emmy nods could vastly increase the viewership, which is something really good shows need so they can pull in the money and be "worthy" to keep on the air. Though from my understanding it's the producers decision to end it not the network's. Never the less it could have also been helpful in propelling some of the actor's careers after the show wraps.

yes that is still the case. as always the info can be found on wikipedia.

Really? The writing and acting in BSG trumps Heroes in every way...

I love the concept of Heroes but damn does the acting blow and the writing mediocre..

I just wish they'd hurry the hell up already. It's been 8 months, how long do they need?

It seems that they are following the footsteps of Lost by splitting up a season into years.. They know us fans will wait for it.

Many times the writing in BSG comes across as a high school drama when it's supposed to be focused on leaders shaping the world they live in, most being military type. The writing in Heroes isn't spectacular, but I could bear it much longer than I could with BSG quite a few times. To each his own.

Yeah, 'cause Wikipedia is 100% correct on everything. It's not like its edited and maintained by the general public or anything.

Yeah totally. Their programming has gotten pretty lame. eureka is good. Atlantis is so so. BSG is the last decent show in their lineup. After ax'ing SG-1 I knew it was going to go downhill. I'm sorry but Stargate was all about aliens tied to ancient egyptian religious beliefs. Not some life sucking aliens or ancients from another galaxy... SG-1 was ended poorly. Ben Browder sucks as a General. He just doesn't have the same strength as Hammond. SG-1 started going downhill after Jack and Hammond were gone.

And people wonder why I play more games than watch TV...

I agree to each his own but are you sure you don't have it the other way around, Heroes has become the high school drama.

After last years season finale which was disappointing to say the least, the show has been going down hill.

Mind you i do enjoy Heroes but to me it could have been a better show.... :)

Considering some people involved in the show are in high school, I can see it legitimately coming across as high school drama, but BSG? There's no excuse and yet it's there, more than it needs to be at times.

I was perfectly happy with the finale last year, very much in line with how the show has progressed prior to it. I think people were expecting too many sparks and such, ya know, X-Men.

:)

The BSG miniseries and season 1 absolutely kicked ass. IMO it was the best damn thing on TV at the time. Season 2 came in and while it was still good, it felt like something was missing. Season 3 started off with 3 or so great episodes and then it hit rock bottom with a bunch of useless (and repetitive) character dialogs that most people didn't want to see.

I couldn't begin to count how many friends and co-workers who were ready to quit watching BSG during season 3. Heck, I was about ready to give up on the show. When they announced Season 4 would be the last, I was actually thrilled... I couldn't stand the thought of another BSG season like what we had with #3. -- Unlike LOST where I was disheartened to hear that it'll end after 3 more small seasons.

Yeah, 'cause Wikipedia is 100% correct on everything. It's not like its edited and maintained by the general public or anything.

lol i see your point, but wikipedia is still much more reliable than people on a forum telling you something because its content is checked by millions of other people and so is less likely to be incorrect.

Huh, when did Ben Browder's character become General? Did I miss something important? I could have sworn I heard Carter say Landry was still General back at the SGC last week. Or am I in the twilight zone?

Correction, Ben Browder does not "suck as a General". He was never a General to begin with. I believe you're referring to Major General Hank Landry (Beau Bridges). I agree though, SG-1's ending could've been much better had they ended it properly. To be honest, it didn't feel like the show ended.

Anyway, I waited in sheer terror for the thread to load. I actually thought season four began. Whew, I'm so relieved now. :p
