Did Razor air in the UK or Canada already or something? In the US it doesn't air until the 24th right?

Yes, it did... :pirate:

EDIT: Just kidding. It airs on the 24th of November int he US & Canada.

I hope the show ends with closure. I'd hate for it to end with a cliffhanger because then I'd have to imagine what happens. On the other hand they could make some straight to DVD movies after this season, similar to the StarGate SG-1 DVD movies.

PS: BSG rocks! :D

So, I watched Razor this weekend... guess I'm one of the few who didn't d/l it to spoil the surprise...

The original five Cylons came from the centurion hybrid? He gives advice not to follow Capt. Thrace as if he knows her "programming" ... and if they were interested in holding the armistice together, were the original five sent to help the human race?

Those things came to mind watching the conclusion, can't wait til March :)

I believe the five "older model" Cylons, aka Centurion Model 0005, were there to protect the hybrid organic Cylon. They said that he was the link between humanoid and robotic Cylons. It seemed quite evident to me that he (the hybrid) has the ability to preordain the future. Perhaps that's why he kept repeating "all this has happened before...". Also, he may have implied that Kara Thrace is a Cylon by calling her the "harbinger of death". All in all, it was amazing. I can't wait for season 4.

Razor was amazing. It was good to see the Pegasus POV of the Cylon war. It's going to be another long 4 months.

On a side note, Anaron, where'd you find those PNG images you're using as your av and sig? Thanks!

I'm glad you noticed. I got them from deviantART. :)

didn't read the whole thread, so this may have been posted already

where i go for all my air date info, only ever been wrong once i recall :)

no season 4 info yet, but im sure it will be there in due time

i know this isn't season 3 thread, but i was re watching it and in episode 5 of season three anders calls kara "carey"

It's possible that he had a lingering memory of her from a previous life. Actually, I'm not even sure if memories are left intact once you're resurrected. All in all, I think it's becoming more and more obvious that Kara Thrace is indeed a Cylon operative.

There are people here who claim otherwise. I call her the 5th Cylon.

  • 3 months later...

The 5th cylon is most likely Dualla from the evidence we have so far. The clues just keep adding up.

Plus it's been said over and over by people with the show including Katee Sackhof and Ronald D Moore that Kara isn't a cylon. Making her one would damage the show I think. (Then again I felt like making Tigh and Tyrol cylons did that too)

Why would it hurt the show? In a candid video Sackhof said she was in fact a Cylon before the third season even started. Besides, no way Starbuck would've survived that explosion. I can't wait for the fifth to be confirmed so that the speculation will end. The promos for the season three finale said all five would be revealed, not all but one, and seeing as how Starbuck should've died from that explosion, I say it's her.

I don't think it would hurt the show. I've said it before and I'll say it again. Kara "Starbuck" Thrace is a Cylon operative. There's some interesting information here about Kara in season 4. Scroll down and read the last few points under Character History at a Glance. (Y)

I seriously doubt Starbuck is a Cylon. Unless her Mother was a Cylon (or her Father for that matter) and she's some sort of hybrid thing. You guys forget, she had a childhood and grew up, so far things a Human Cylon can't quite have unless they are born a hybrid.

How she apparently was able to come back from the dead however, I have no idea. But let us not forget, she is the harbinger of death, the bringer of the apocolypse - she will lead Humanity to its end. :| (That would seem to indicate she IS a Cylon, but eh)

Ok, so apparently Starbuck isn't the fifth Cylon. They'll probably have some crazy explanation that she was teleported or captured by the Cylons, despite her being in a ship that exploded in an area that was supposed to be devastating to ships. I hope there's a good explanation and not just, "Well, fooled you, she didn't die, she was teleported with new Cylon technology!" Possibly make her out to be a hybrid, that her dad is the final Cylon and hybrids can come back just like the 12. Blah blah blah. So much for the "the final five will be revealed" nonsense.

    • This makes me think of Dune for some reason.
    • I'm too old to return to the "good old days" when I was installing custom ROMs and tinkering with my devices - now I just want to turn it on and use it. I've read that banking and payment apps work on Murena /e/OS (I'll have to check the ones I use) and I also really want to support Fairphone 😉

    • NVIDIA announces 35 new AI HPC supercomputers across Europe by Fiza Ali NVIDIA has announced that 35 AI high-performance computing (HPC) supercomputers are planned to open throughout Europe this year. This marks what the company describes as the largest single-year expansion of AI infrastructure in the history of the continent. These new systems, unveiled at ISC High Performance 2026, will be placed at a number of national supercomputing centres, AI factories, and research institutes to provide advanced computing resources to more than three million researchers. Describing AI, NVIDIA founder and CEO Jensen Huang stated, "AI is the new instrument of science, and Europe is building the infrastructure to put it in the hands of millions of researchers." Built on NVIDIA's Blackwell and Hopper architectures, the new systems will support research in climate science, healthcare, clean energy, quantum computing, and other scientific fields. Among the major projects are the Barcelona Supercomputing Center's MareNostrum 5 AI upgrade, BavariaAI's Blue Swan platform in Germany, Italy's IT4LIA AI factory, Germany's HammerHAI project, and Sweden's Mimer AI Factory. The Barcelona Supercomputing Center plans to expand MareNostrum 5 with NVIDIA GB300 NVL72 and GB200 NVL4 systems. In total, the BSC expects to deliver up to 20 exaflops of AI training performance and 33 exaflops of AI inference performance. This increased computational capability will support research efforts related to climate modelling, biotechnology, energy systems, etc. Furthermore, as part of the IT4LIA project, more than 8,000 GPUs, each based on NVIDIA’s GB200 NVL4 architecture, will be used in Italy. This represents one of the largest AI factory initiatives announced to date. Additionally, the Blue Swan platform from BavariaAI will include about 1,000 GPUs to help develop multimodal AI models for use in the medical field, robotics, and various areas of scientific research. NVIDIA also emphasized in the announcement how rapidly growth of accelerated computing usage is taking place within both energy and climate-related research. The company said Siemens Energy uses NVIDIA-powered technologies to significantly accelerate the process of designing and simulating hydrogen-capable gas turbines. Using those same acceleration technologies, Siemens was able to reduce simulation time by up to 77 percent. The company also highlighted several quantum computing initiatives across Europe. CINECA, EuroHPC, and Pasqal are integrating a quantum processing unit into Italy's CINECA supercomputing centre using NVIDIA's CUDA-Q platform. Meanwhile, researchers at Germany's Julich Supercomputing Centre recently simulated a universal 50-qubit quantum computer on the JUPITER supercomputer. The announcement demonstrates Europe's continued commitment to building out its infrastructure supporting AI and supercomputing as governments, research organizations, and technology companies compete to build out their respective computing capacities and secure their positions in advanced scientific research.
