The whole premise "all of this happened before and will happen again" and I think peace would ruin it, imo. I want to see a fight to the death, a unity of the survivors, and a fast forward to the beginning of the next cycle. Then they can reboot the series, new ship design, new faces, but the same roles, all over again.

That wouldn't be good. but would keep with the story line alright. I'd rather they break the cycle. I wouldn't want to see the same thing over and over. Think of horror story sequels.

I hate that word so much it makes me want to hurt the actors every time they say it

something is definitely wrong with you. stop watching the show and don't post.

Am I the only one who agrees with the mutineers? I mean Roslin completely abadoned her post...again.. and once again Adama ignores the rightful VP of the colonies just because he feels like it, but then when the situation is reversed he screams bloody murder. I wished they had blown him away when they got him in the bridge.

Everything they are doing is just what Zerik said, it's like a family trying their hardest to hold onto power and it's just crazy. The fleet has put up with them for seven years and they have produced nothing but failure after failure, so it's understandable why people wouldn't want to listen to them anymore. IMO this show would be doing a great disservice by killing Geta or Zerik, because recently i've found myself agreeing with everything they said.

Failure after failure? Such as avoiding death/capture by the cylons numerous times, scanning every system they come across for inhabitable planets, finding Earth (which, at the beginning of the show, was thought to be nothing but a fairy tale), or dealing with the crises that arise from their generally terrible situation? If those are failures, what could they do that you would consider successful?

?? I thought it was just 4 years so far..

Great episode though, can't wait for next week's.

Geta said 7 years in this last episode, i thought it would be 4 too, but apparently within the show it's 7.

Of course it was a flashbang. Why risk blowing a hole in the ship when the door between them and that hole is partially open? Not to mention there's no way that's how one of the key characters would go :p
Fraking awesome episode.

Its just a smoke grenade going off - they aren't going to kill off two main characters just like that. haha...

I guess you're both right. It's a lame way to get rid of two of the best known characters in Battlestar Galactica.

Adama is a total BADASS!

Indeed he is. The way he "snapped" was so epic. I totally didn't expect that from Edward James Olmos.

Well you had at least 18 months that were skipped between season 2 finale and season 3 openers that took place on New Caprica before the cylon occupation. Surely, there are other arcs in the storyline between episodes and events.

It's been about 4-5 years now since the first exodus. I believe he was referring to the seven years he has served under Adama now not the time since the attack on the colonies. Last week said four years I believe. Earlier in the season Zarek said five years so it's somewhere inbetween.

Good episode but I think the end was abrupt.

I don't get it. How can Roslin's shuttle be gunned down? Lee Adama and Starbuck were also on it right

Also if they were then it was pretty stupid how Lee would let Adama pick a fight while he himself would chicken out?

edit: just saw the preview for next episode

Adama is not dead and Roslin is also alive. Roslin has taken refuge in the cylon ship and I really hope there's a show-down between Gallactica and the Cylon ship . Adama might die in the next one (which will be annoying imo :( )

lee and kara went back the way they came through the passage

Praise be to Sci-Fi :) we are lagging far behind with Battlestar S4 but last weekend, Sci-Fi fast tracked all the current episodes including the lastest one aired in the US last weekend (and in the coming weeks is airing the next episodes hours after the US), had a good weekend catching up on S4

Possibly, I don't agree with the mutineers at all. To me they are proving that the Humans are worse then the Cylons! they are risking the survival of the human race over what is essentially racism. Yes, the Cylons attacked the 12 colonies and nearly wiped out the entire Human race, however, I vaguely recall it was revealed the original Cylon attack was actually a retaliation? or did I imagine that? Regardless of the motives of the attack, these rebel Cylons are risking everything with the alliance, turning their back on their own kind and siding with the enemy. Not to mention providing information (and assistance) in providing a rather hard blow to the Cylon war effort. The mutineers are panting with a very wide brush with their views, it's like condemning every German for the end of time for what Hitler did...is that fair? or cause not and so why should this be any different. This is only what I think, so take with a grain of salt!

Anyway, I can't wait for the next episode! :D

EDIT: I just though of a good (or maybe it's just utter crap) final twist for the series. Have it the mutineers win, the rebel Cylons either destroyed or return back to the other Cylons and any Human that supported the Human/Cylon alliance is either executed or locked away. Then do something like "6 months later" (or maybe a year or two which ever works) and show them drifting through space, with no fuel left and no hope of making it to a habitable world (as they needed the Cylon tech to improve their chances) and then having a fleet of Basestars jump in and then fade to black, the end....I dunno now, seems kinda crap now that I wrote it down :p

i dont think it sounds like crap....this sounds like crap (as a lil add on to your ending).... before it goes black the basestar launches a ton of nukes at the ship, fades to black.... then goes to the morning before the decommission of galactica, as it was all an adama nightmare

and yes the attack was retaliation from a mission adama lead, i think, 2 years before the attack... he sent "bulldog" across the line and got caught by the cylons, but shot bulldog down before, but bulldog ejected and was caught anyways.... bulldog "escaped" from the cylon cell and hijacked a cylon fighter and went back to galactica where tigh told him what happened and he tried to kill adama but tigh stopped him and bulldog took off to another ship but before he left adama gave him a flight suit, bulldog said no, adama said "once a pilot always a pilot"...

Starbuck will ride him til she climaxes and then shoot Geata in his other extremities until she kills him. She's a ###### like that. ;)

I'd hit it. (Y)

...

Anyways, who says Gaeta will die? Just because he's done what he's done doesn't mean he's gonna die, or even get killed by Starbuck or something. Sure you guys WANT him to die now, but for dramatic purposes, maybe they have other plans for him?

I guess we'll find out what will maybe happen in about 2 hours or so :D

    • No, size is not the only selling point. I did not even remotely say that. Your claim was that "building your own will be faster and cheaper". This is false. You cannot build something close to that form factor with off-the-shelf parts. You can build a Mini-ITX PC and pay more, or something larger and pay less. But these are different market segments. It's apples and oranges.
    • There is a default resolution setting in Settings > Display that can be changed with a click. You can also change the settings on a per-game basis. No CLI needed. Also, Steam has countless games that are not "[perpetual] alpha/beta games", so no need for the straw man. Plus you can use other stores as well. And console games (e.g. PS5) cost a fortune, which itself more than negates the price subsidy on the system, unless you plan on exclusively playing 1 or 2 games. It's true that you shouldn't buy a system that doesn't support the game(s) you want to play, but I think that's kinda obvious, and applies to every console as well as PC. I don't game in the living room and have no need of a Steam Machine, but there is a clear market segment that would find it useful.

RSS Guard 5.2.0 changelog: Added: Feed auto-fetch can now also be delayed while Feral GameMode is active on Linux and startup auto-fetch is skipped when GameMode is already active. (#2265) WebEngine builds can now use RSS Guard generated proxy auto-config (PAC) rules so article/web browsing follows per-account and per-feed proxy settings more closely. (#2273) Generated PAC rules now also cover related subdomains and use Public Suffix List data, so feeds such as feeds.bbc.co.uk can also proxy resources from images.bbc.co.uk. (#2273) Standard feeds can now define extra proxy domains, useful when article images, stylesheets or other page resources are loaded from a CDN or another domain that should use the same feed proxy. (#2273) RSS Guard now asks for proxy credentials when a WebEngine page needs proxy authentication and can fill credentials from the current feed proxy when available. (#2273) Network settings again include an option to ignore all cookies, which clears stored cookies and prevents new cookies from being accepted. Standard RSS/ATOM feeds can now individually ignore cookies while downloading feed data. Stored cookies can now be deleted from the Tools menu. Custom skin colors can now override the feed list article count color separately from feed titles, including a separate highlighted color. (#2275) Settings dialog can now search across available settings and highlight matching controls. (#1754) Standard RSS/ATOM feeds can now optionally be reported as broken when they are valid but contain no articles. (#2039) Standard RSS/ATOM feeds can now override the application-wide feed connection timeout per feed. (#1023) Tray icon can now use a custom background color and unread-count text color, with an option to reuse the generated icon as the application icon. (#1973) Support for more benevolent parsing of Gemlog entries (#2295). Article list can now show when an article was received by RSS Guard. (#947) Feed deep discovery now actually scrapes all links found in the website and checks if they are feeds or not. This greatly enhances usability of the deep discovery mode and discovers many more feeds than before. (#2306) Search boxes now show a small dot when the feed or article list is hiding some items because of active filtering. (#873) Articles now have a shortcut-assignable action to open the homepage of the feed they belong to. (#2060) Fixed: Parallel feed updates no longer crash when multiple update results are processed at the same time. (64cf521) Links in WebEngine articles opened from feeds such as Kill the Newsletter now open correctly instead of being swallowed by the embedded page. (#2272) Relative article URLs resolution was kinda broken. (#2282) Clicking article URL did not work when the URL had "fragment" set. (#2293) The default proxy setting now uses Qt/system default proxy behavior instead of forcing no proxy. (e0263ad) WebEngine article loading now keeps the current feed context, so feed-specific proxy credentials remain available while the article page loads.
