i just rewatched it again. Anders says HE and its perfectly clear.

He clearly says "she was 7". I know it. I watched the scene at least 3 times. He follows with "I'm sure". Why don't you watch this to jog your memory?

i guess you can hear anything you want

True, but only if there's something wrong with your sense of hearing.

He clearly was speaking fast at that point. Going with context of what was stated, it is likely he. I can't believe we're having another one of these arguments.

This is not 'another one of those' conversations. No one is trying to lip-read 'he' or 'she' (like six or ten).

The line was deliberate and was hidden/woven into the scene for one reason or another: it's either a clue or red herring. There is nothing to interpret, Anders says,

"Yes. He died... Daniel died. She was 7. I'm sure.".

Skip ahead to the 5 min mark in the Youtube vid linked above.

I don't know what you mean by that, but I'm going by what the character said. I know what I heard. The YouTube video is proof. Watch it if you haven't done so already.

Thank you!

its cool canadians maybe it was a she in your broadcast :D

That makes no sense, haha. I doubt they would do that. Why would they make Canadians hear "She"?

Anyway, I invite others to watch the YouTube video in my previous post. Pay close attention to what Anders says. You can clearly hear him say "She". Heck, crank up your volume to max and hear it. He says "She" and then says "I'm sure". I know he said it because the the first part of "she" and "sure (shure)" sounded similar.

So we have two definitive male references, one debatable female reference. Considering the state of mind of both Cylons at the time they spoke the words, I'm going to have to go with Daniel being a male, the argument I made from the start.

Wow, I frakked up. I watched a better source with some high quality headphones and concluded that Anders said "He" instead of "She". It definitely sounded like the latter but it was merely the way he pronounced the word. I formally retract my previous posts regarding this issue. By the way, I knew the Daniel model was a male but I guess I was hoping it would be Kara Thrace. My bad!

/me cleans ears, vigorously

I was watching some of the BSG marathon of episodes from season 3 - 4 on Sci-Fi today and noticed a small bit of discontinuity. Remember back in season 2 (I think) when Starbuck injures her knee and she can't take the G forces of flying a mark II viper with her bum knee. Well, at the end of season 3 when the cylons attack, Anders has a knee injury of some type, hobbling in it, then he suits and jumps in a mark II viper when the cylons show up and pilots it fine, other than fumbling with the gun trigger. I wouldn't have thought much of it if he had at least been flying the mark VII viper... :hmmm:

This episode was mostly dull, and I just might shoot myself if I have to deal with Adama's drinking habit yet again.

I thought maybe the Ellen Tigh character would have a change, but she was the same old nagging bitch she has always been, I can see why Saul Tigh went after a better piece of ass after millenniums of putting up with her. They say the five of them were close, but I just can't see it with the way the characters are written. Another transition episode, setting up an intense episode to come later. Expectations are too high for the rest of season after the two part mutiny episode.

was starbucks quote a hint or a red herring, when she said that tigh and ellens scene at the raptor was like watching her parents making out.

I noticed that as well... perhaps a tad bit of foreshadowing. If Ellen had all her memories back though, seems like we would have known it this week. Maybe she was a creation of their lab on Earth, a test subject of their organic memory transplant, a prototype for their resurrection tech. I'm gonna stop guessing and just watch the last four episodes though ;)

I liked it. A bit slower, but we needed to process the info from the last episode. I like the way they have paced to story over the series as a whole even if that makes for some slow episodes occasionally. That Michael Hogan (Saul Tigh) has not gotten more critical acclaim for this role is a crime.

i enjoyed the episode i just thought it was just a cheap trick for the writers to go to the love angle for a miscarriage. I know they mentioned it in previous episodes but it was a lame cop-out imho.

I thought it was great that ellen was the way she was; It made perfect sense and her vindictiveness was just a treat to watch.

Now starbuck saying it was like her parents make out was a nice touch i just hope it turns out to be true.

    • I have a older F4-210 NAS, it is pretty basic, the CPU is not the fastest by a long way and only 1GB of ram, but it works fine. I don't understand the need for A.I in a NAS. It seems like A.i is being shoved into everything, if we like it or not. i will stick to my old Terramsater NAS, thankfully the OS is not being updated. Also, got myself a small NAs built using a Raspberry Pi 5. iy usesd less energy, so stays on all the time. As for the unit above, if it is as reliable as my old Terramaster Nas, then it will be a good unit.
    • Gemini in Google Sheets can now help you debug and fix formula errors by David Uzondu Google has started rolling out an update to Gemini in Google Sheets that allows the AI to diagnose and fix formula errors in one click, as long as your Workspace admin has Gemini for Workspace in Sheets turned on. According to Google, the new feature can handle pretty much everything from basic arithmetic to very complex calculations. This ability to debug formula errors comes about two years after Google introduced basic formula generation with Gemini in Sheets. To create a formula with Gemini in Sheets, you open a spreadsheet on your computer and click Ask Gemini in the top right corner. You can also enter an equals sign in any cell and use a shortcut like Ctrl + Alt + G on Windows and Chrome OS, or Command + Ctrl + G on macOS. Once you open the side panel, you write a natural language prompt using your sheet references. For example, you can ask Gemini to divide goals by games, or to find cell C1 in range D:G. If for some reason, the formula Gemini generated doesn't work, or maybe you wrote the formula yourself, you can troubleshoot the issue directly inside the grid. When a cell shows an error message, you hover over it and click "Fix". This action opens the side panel where Gemini analyzes the data structure and automatically applies the fixes when they are ready. You can cancel the process at any time by clicking stop in the side panel. Image via Google Google has been pushing its Gemini integration in Google Sheets for a while now, steadily moving AI features from side panels directly into user spreadsheets. Last year, the Mountain View giant shipped an =AI() Function in Sheets that allowed users to run translation and text generation directly inside cells instead of using the side panel interface. Earlier this year, the company announced that Gemini in Sheets had reached near-human expert performance, achieving a 70.48% success rate on the SpreadsheetBench dataset.
    • I get what you are saying, If i go onto the Instagram site, it says log in with Facebook, but they are not allowed to link my account with Instagram until I do that. Maybe in the U.S, they can link them, but Privacy is not a thing in the U.S. the way things are going,l won;t be any better in the U.K.

    • Exactly, this is just the beginning. I hope that by that time, our inept politicians devise something like a Universal Basic Income, because unemployment and poverty rates will skyrocket otherwise. And believe me, robots that perform physical work aren't a matter of IF, but WHEN. No career is truly safe from AI/robots, it's just a matter of time.
