a slow episode (again) but this one was really good. How they connect the whole episode with the music that starbuck was playing and some camera takes like hotdog watching boomer and when she (boomer) collide with galactica and the whole ship shakes but in a particular take that dont last more than 2 seconds showing how Sam was on the bed in comma, to me that makes the whole episode (I know, a long sentence with many things I said, I hope someone else than me understand (and care) what I said).

Boomer didn't collide with Galactica if that's what you're thinking. She jumped away too close to the ship and the distortion hit the ship. Boomer (and Hera) are probably alive and not well.

Wow, great episode (minus a few scenes). The sex scene for instance. In my mind, it was totally unnecessary. Anyway, the way the music rolled in was just amazing. It gave me goosebumps. And Tigh's look, wow. Priceless indeed. Thanks for the link Akuma! As for Boomer... I knew she was a traitor. She's such a vile and manipulative creature. By the way, her Raptor didn't collide with Galactica. It created a spatial distortion after jumping away and that's what damaged the ship.

Any thoughts as to how Galactica will survive the remaining episodes? shes pretty banged up at the minute, and I'm fairly sure after recent events cannot hold up vs the obvious Cylon armada due to jump onto them.

Well Boomer gave her a good FTL Chuck Norris round-house kick during the last episode.

That being said.

I'm pretty certain Galactica is going to be destroyed. I imagine though that she'll go out with one hell of a bang. The next episode teaser basically showed Adama give up on repairs to her and accept that she will soon be no more. We can also be pretty sure Cavil is poised to make a final assault against the fleet. I imagine the last two episodes are going to be epic.

I still think the person who was playing the piano with Kara last episode was her father whom she just doesn't remember vividly. We'll see, though. I miss my favorite cylon though, Leobin. Whatever happened to him? He better make a great re-appearance.

Damn chief, you idiot!!! Screw boomer, I hope she gets destroyed! Now, the scene with Kara and her father on that piano was simply amazing. It was on par with the scene of Laura saying she was coming for Gaeta, Zarek and the rest of them. Here are the two videos

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=h4LhljdbuMc - Awesome piano. Here is the full song (Season 3 soundtrack) http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ka_sHy9cVH0

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4EUMBiTVkrA - I'm coming for all of you!!!!

I think Kara was using cylon projection to communicate with her dad. Of course she doesn't know that though. This episode is one of my faves and I love the dialogue between her and her dad. The episode made me happy and sad too, which means it's one of the best. This second part of the season has definitely made up for the meh of the first part of the season which ended up disappointing me after the first couple episodes.

The whole FTL spatial distortion seems like a cop out for finishing off the ship. If the raptor's ftl distortion is that powerful, how about a ship the size of Galactica using FTL in low atmosphere right over the head of the resistance on New Caprica, the shockwave should have killed everyone.

the only problem i have with kara being half skin job is they specifically have said hera was the only one. they did not want to knock the importance of hera. It seems they are pointing that way but that makes little sense after the revelation that chiefs baby wasn't his and wasn't 1/2 cylon.

I don't remember them specifically saying Hera was the only one. Obviously this episode woud seem to indicate that Starbuck is half cylon, and probably did the resurrection ship thing.

we'll see how they develop this story in the last 4 episodes.

they havent in the episodes but ron moore has in the podcasts. its interesting none the less, if she is daniels daughter i would love to see her get revenge on cavil

I know it wouldn't make too much sense, but I think Hera gave Starbuck the notes to the song in order to activate Roslyn. I know its a stretch, but Roslyn does seem to have a connection to Hera, ala opera house visions. The last time the song played, Tigh and the others activated, so there must have been a purpose for Kara to play the song. And Roslyn woke up from sleep, sensing Hera was in danger and fainted. It's a long shot but I think Roslyn is a cylon... and maybe as a stretch, the main cylon. Like all the 2nd gen Cylons, except for Cavil, none of the others (Leoban, Sharons, Six etc...) didn't know about the "Final Five" who created them. Maybe there is a higher up that created those 5? Perhaps Roslyn? I know, its a real stretch.

FRACK!!!!

The model that was killed off, was it called Daniel?

Wasn't he supposed to be really INTUITICE, CREATIVE and ARTISTIC...

Like the "father" character that Starbuck was interacting with?????

Also: Base Stars...

How many still exist? Am thinking A LOT!? So, have all 6's (for example) rebelled, or only those on that one specific base star?

Ahh... I thought that she jump with in the middle was destroyed. So, probably if she is alive then this show might not end that good.

In the way I see the whole human race will be destroyed with the revel cylons.

Its a great show but has to end. Thats what makes BSG the best show in years/decades.

    • AI is the beginning, wait until real robots replace more jobs, specifically jobs that require physical work.
    • AI is indeed eliminating jobs, and Oracle just proved it by Hamid Ganji There’s no question that AI has become the hottest trend in workplaces, and every company is trying to adopt AI-driven solutions across its operations. While some industry leaders repeatedly say AI won’t lead to massive layoffs, recent data suggest that AI is actually one of the main reasons some companies are reducing their workforce. According to Oracle’s annual regulatory filing, the company has laid off about 21,000 employees, or 13% of its workforce, amid increasing AI adoption. “The adoption and deployment of AI technologies across our operations have resulted, and may continue to result, in reductions to our workforce,” Oracle said in the filing. The software giant now has approximately 141,000 full-time employees, a notable decrease from 162,000 during the same period last year. Restructuring expenses, including severance payments, cost Oracle $1.84 billion in fiscal 2026. Additionally, around 49,000 Oracle employees were based in the U.S., while approximately 92,000 were employed internationally. Like many other companies, Oracle has fully embraced AI and concentrated much of its efforts on the technology. The company is also a key participant in the United States’ $500 billion Stargate Project, which aims to build multiple AI data centers across the country. When it comes to AI adoption and its impact on the workforce, opinions remain divided. NVIDIA CEO Jensen Huang, whose company has been one of the biggest beneficiaries of the AI boom, recently said in an interview that attributing job cuts to AI is a “lazy” narrative. “The narrative that connects AI to job loss, for many of the CEOs that are doing it – it is just too lazy. AI has just arrived, how is it possible they're already losing jobs?” Huang said. However, statistics and recent reports tell a different story. According to Layoffs.fyi, 196 tech companies have laid off about 119,800 employees so far this year. Reducing staff and replacing roles with AI agents could become one of the most significant trends in the job market in the years ahead.

    • UK funds £60M AI labs to challenge US tech dominance with open-source models by Paul Hill The UK government has awarded £60 million to Oxford University and University College London to help keep the country in the AI race by focusing on open-source, low-hardware alternatives. This is in stark contrast to the expensive, closed-source, and high-hardware-requirement models being created in the United States and elsewhere. The money will be shared among two new academic research labs over six years to help them redesign the fundamental mathematics and architectures of AI to help the UK reduce its reliance on a handful of US tech firms. Commenting on the development, AI Minister Kanishka Narayan said: Initially, the government planned to fund just one lab with a £40 million investment, but with this update, two labs will now get access to a larger pool of funds. The labs are expected to invest in the top AI researchers at every career stage, with £2 million per lab being set aside for hiring at least ten doctoral students. The government hopes that this will grow the UK’s talent in the field of AI. The labs are also expected to work closely with the leaders in British AI research, such as the Alan Turing Institute and UKRI’s AI research hubs. This will allow the various teams to collaborate and create new solutions faster than they could alone. This development is pretty interesting for a number of reasons, chiefly that it could create a long-term challenge for US tech firms if these labs successfully scale these open-source architectures that bypass the proprietary ecosystems. It could also give British businesses and public sector organizations access to AI features without paying high licensing fees to foreign providers or needing to invest in specialized server infrastructure.
