[Pic] right brain vs left brain

Recommended Posts

The easiest way to see the switch is, observe her feet (either one) as it is moving in an oval. Now think of that oval as being 'drawn' from the top down. You will observe her rotation is drawing clockwise. Now close your eyes and think of drawing an oval from the bottom up anti clockwise. Now observe her rotation.

When I first saw it: anti-clockwise

Now with my eyes wide open it goes clockwise. If I pinch my eyes together and look at the feet for a brief moment it goes anti-clockwise. I can make her move back and forth by focussing. Really weird. It's not a fake, or my head would be in sync with the randomizer :). Might have nothing to do with brain parts, just an optical illusion.

aaah thank you, looking at the oval of the feet and realising the feet just goes from left to right and back again made me see it both ways :D

for the people who still have problems seeing it go counter-clockwise. Think of the upwards pointing leg as the left leg and you are halfway there ;)

but her toes would be on mirrored :s

Seems fake to me, don't know why just does.

You can see them both.

It is a flat silhouette image. All you have to do to change her is switch when her extended leg crosses in front of her knee.

If you think her extended foot crosses in front of her knee when the extended foot is moving right to left, the sensation is clockwise.

If you think her extended foot crosses in back of her knee when the extended foot is moving right to left, the sensation is counter-clockwise.

For a Fun trick, see if you can visualize her changing direction each "half-spin", moving her extended foot always in front of her knee, like a smooth horizontal pendulum.

It's a funny sensation.
