[Pic] right brain vs left brain

Recommended Posts

After looking at it for a while i realise the the legs seem to be almost seperate to the body. All i see now is the leg going leg and then right rather than round and round. Does this mean i think with my whole brain and that im level headed?

Are you one of those people that can look in two directions with their eyes?

Crazy stuff. I've just been arguing with my brother trying to convince him that this is merely an illusion that can be seen spinning both ways. He claims it's impossible that she can be spinning clockwise, but this is merely because he sees her using the opposite arm and leg outstretched and when he sees her facing backwards, I see her facing forwards.

And yes, he's a right brainer!

I FIGURED IT OUT

It depends on which eye sees it first.

With both eyes open, make it so only your right eye can see the lady, and read the text. blink a few times and it will turn counter-clockwise

do the opposite (only left eye) and it will go clockwise

^ I thought of that too but it doesn't work for me. I can only see the dancer turn clockwise. My sister can see it go both ways though.

Why is it?

When she's moving clockwise her left right is in the air.

When she's moving anti-clockwise her left leg is in the air.

Her left right? The leg going leg? I think this is making people think differently.

I see can her going both ways , lol.

Let's see. The axis of her movement is her left leg. If you were looking from the top (that is, the axis being a dot at the center of the "floor" plane), she's describing a clock-wise move.

Now, let's say the image is a 3D rectangular block. The 'base' being the ground, and the sides being as tall as the woman. Let's say she's in a cage. Now, let's say you kick the cage to the ground, so that the 'base' of the cage is positioned in FRONT of you (the base plane is now in front of your eyes), you might get the impression she's moving anti-clockwise.

If you were to spin the same way, you would be doing it clockwise

That's my 2 cents

I started seeing it move counter-clockwise. I then started reading the article and then poof, it was going clockwise.

I then had to focus on the foot and how it was turning to start seeing it going counter-clockwise again. Took 5-10 seconds of concentration. Strange :|

After a while, I'm able to get it going both ways after a few seconds of concentration, and as soon as it happens, it's like a switch going off. Strange :|

This is dumb, and it does not mean anything. If you consider the projection from above, and look at the motion of the hands, then it is counter-clockwise. If you consider the motion of the feet and project from below, then it's going clockwise. That's it. It's really just a question of where the figure catches your eye.

For the first few minutes she was spinning clockwise, then I started reading the text. After switching paragraphs, it suddenly started spinning counter for a moment until I focused back on it, then it started going clockwise again. Neat stuff.

    • AI is the justification that company administrators use to lay people off; it is not the end all, be all touted in the media (many of whom can't tell a microchip from a potato chip). Greed is main driving factor behind its adoption; the other is remaining relevant in the face of competition from other entities.
