Recommended Posts

Hey Guys, I hope I can ask this question in here. I haven't bought a camera for a long time. And now I am in the market for a New Digital Camera. I am not a photographer. I just want to have a camera that takes good pictures. A Family Camera. My budget is between $100 - $200. I want to have a camera that takes good pictures, good pixel number, couple of good features. I don't know alot about Digital Camera and that is why I came to you guys. If you guys can recommend me some good brands that I should look at or good camera that I should look, it would really help me out. Plus give me whatever info I need to look for when buying a Digital Camera. Thank You for you help guys!

Cool, i've been looking at it myself....

I've never had a camera with image stabilization before. does it actually make a difference?

Here is a nice review about the Canon PowerShot A570 IS and talks about Image Stabilization about halfway down under 'Shooting'

Shooting. Image stabilization is one of the wonders of modern photography. Your hand normally shakes enough to make a shutter speed like 1/30 chancy. But "chancy" drops to 1/4 second with image stabilization. No need for flash, no need for high ISO (and the noise that high ISO entails on a small digicam sensor). And, yes, a sharp, detailed shot. In fact, you'll get photos unlike any you've ever taken before without image stabilization....'continues'

One of the best places for information is : http://www.dpreview.com

Also, check out the user forums, you can find people who actually own

the camera you are looking at, and can give you the pros/cons about the

camera, along with examples of some of the photos it can take.

    • Not such a great deal, Ultimate, which gives you full 5080 features is $181.99 CAD per month, that's $2183.88 per year, I can buy the 5080 for $1809.99 CAD, then it goes up to $279.99 per month after the first billing cycle. Typical cloud rental, costs more than buying the hardware.
    • Wow, spoken like a true blind hater, you don't even provide arguments. Please, go check my comment above to @seacaptain and you'll find out why what you say doesn't make sense in this context...
    • Get used to this, with AI tooling now uncovering new vulns and getting them exploitable far faster than has ever been possible before software is going to need to be updated far more frequently. Back in the day it may take reseachers weeks or months to do what AI can now do in hours. Once its a threat is discovered it's weaponsized far more quickly, meaning you simply can't be waiting 2, 3, 4 weeks to deploy a patch, it needs to be patched immediately. Going to be interesting handling this in the enterprise space where traditionally patching has been steady, but very staged (and rightly so up until now), that is going to have to change.
    • You don't need to "close all browser sessions constantly" or wait for updates to install. The updates download in the background while you use the browser, without interrupting you, they install automatically the next time you launch the app. And they install very fast (depending on your storage speeds, of course), you have to wait at most 2-3 extra seconds, if any. Seems like you haven't used Edge in a loooooooong time...
