Sheppard Posted October 12, 2007 Share Posted October 12, 2007 I did it then, after much deliberation i decided to buy the 60Gb Version, i wanted the Motorstorm and Resistance bundle but Game said they didnt do that in my store, so in the end i had to get Motorstorm and Formula 1. Its a heavy bugger and much larger than i thought it was going to be, the pad feels really light and odd, not sure im a fan of the triggers yet, just doing a system update before i can grab a load of demos and stuff. Best things you can do just now, 1) Try out 2 games 2) Download demos/store/games content 3) Setup your PS3 as a media hub (grab TVersity) 4) Make a US account to get R&C demo early (and other things... When i do get one it looks like il be getting the 40gb version. Im not happy about that because i wanted to play my ps2 classics on it but hey it is what it is. Went for the slightly better Virgin offer which was 2 games and an extra controller for the same price. Couldn't miss out on a decent offer like that, especially as the 60GB model won't be available much longer. Whats the deal with having to install a demo before playing it? Installation on some things takes ages. As a long time user of the Xbox 360 I have to say that's one of the many things that have bugged me about the PS3 so far. Far more annoying than that though is the fact that so few of the PSN games even have demos. They should definitely copy XBLA on this and enforce that all the games must have trial versions. For now, enjoy Resistance and Motorstorm and pick up Guitar Hero on the 28th :D Feel free to add my PSN! On a side note, I use the 22" Samsung 226cw with an HDMI>DVI cable, and it runs 1080p just fine (albeit with a "Not Optimum Resolution" warning, but hey, I only use that res for Blu Rays anyway).
