Tim Dorr Veteran Posted January 12, 2003 Veteran Share Posted January 12, 2003 Though DarwinPorts installs in /opt/local by default, these packages have been built to install in /usr/local Just run xterm, browse to /usr/local/ and fire up the appropriate program :)

Tim Dorr Veteran Posted January 12, 2003 Veteran Share Posted January 12, 2003 well, make sure you're in the directory for the gimp, then try ./gimp . The ./ shows the command prompt to look in the current directory for he file (yeah, i know it's messed up, but it's how things work...)

Zerosignull
gimp works much better on my 33mhz mac then it does on me 605mhz pc. It loads up way much faster, after a lengthy first boot thing.
