'Twas the night before Christmas, when all through the house

Not a creature was stirring, not even a mouse;

The computer was buzzing, chrome ready and waiting

In hopes that a great website soon would be loaded;

The parents were nestled all snug in their bed,

While anger of my school marks danced in their heads;

And dog in her 'kerchief, and I in my chair,

Had just settled down for a long web surf,

When out on the google search there arose such a clatter,

I sprang from link to link to see what was found

Away to the adress bar I flew like a flash,

to take note of the location.

The page so clean and crisp

Gave the lustre of great things below,

When, what to my wondering eyes should appear,

But a giant N, and a bunch of text,

With a little old nav bar, so lively and quick,

I knew in a moment it must be Neowin.

More rapid than eagles the site it loaded,

And it flickered, and flashed, and showed me the options;

"Go to, Forums! Go to, News! Go To, Gallery and More!

Great, News! Great Information! Great, Look and Speed!

To the favorites bar! to the top of the my list!

Now click away! click away! click away all!"....

It's been so long I don't think I can even remember. I think it was down to problems with a bit of a CPU / Motherboard / Graphics Card issue and I either followed a link from another forum or found it on Google! Been here too long! :)

Cripes - in fact just over 10 years. Scary.

I don't remember but I think people dislike me here because I do not connect Neowin to Facebook. Seems like almost everyone here does it. Not that I care. I just feel it makes a difference. Even if a little. From what I seen and tested.

What??? You think people here dislike you? Because you don't link your FB account with the site? That's pretty funny stuff.

I honestly don't remember. When I joined I was known as "Lain" LOTS of speculation to if I was male or female. This place has stuck with me since 2004....

    • I am not surprised because life is the product of a lot of biochemical and physical processes that releases various energies as a by-product. The only thing new here is the detection of these photon emissions. The researches noted this "glow" is not a metaphysical one. They don't even immediately end when one is dead. Things like fires, light bulbs, and on a bigger scale stars release a lot more "light" and they are hardly alive.
