AVG cannot touch NOD32. AVG free if thats what your talking about finds about 85 % of viruses and NOD32 finds around 98 %. Plus it can find malware and spyware.

And Kaspersky finds about 99%? :)

Last I read Kasperskys footprint wasn't alot more if more at all than Nod32. Thats as of version 7 anyway, believe 6 was a different story. (I use Nod32 but)

actually I installed kaspersky on vmware and the footprint was actually smaller than NOD32 on my main machine by about 5 to 10 megs

there is a difference between resource consumption and on-access scanning performance....the noticed slowdowns with antivirus software is because of the scanning performance of an engine when files are accessed

I would love to see a comparison between NOD32 3.0 and KAV 7.0.....maybe I'll do one myself :3

I've never used KAV, I've heard it's good though.

All I can say is I've been using NOD32 for over a year, and I've been really happy. :) Fast and light!

I don't think it's usually like this.. I should probably try restarting and see where it is. But anyways, here you go!

You have to take into account what protection modules and settings you have enabled. I have DMON, EMON, ThreatSense, and the custom UI disabled in v2.7 because I don't need them. I get ~22K.

I'm XP x64, perhaps that makes a difference for this program?

I think I'm gonna need a reformat soon.. either the new logmein or diskeeper has been causing me a lot of problem.

Guys, does NOD32 Antivirus V3.0 still have IMON (Internet MONitor in V2.7)? Or has it been removed and repackaged into ESET Smart Security V3.0 (ESET Personal Firewall)?

IMON is still included in Nod32 from what I can tell. You don't need to buy ESS to get basic HTTP protection.
