Chuck

Despite repeats on all but one of the other networks, NBC's "Chuck" and "Heroes" generated their lowest ratings ever on Monday night says THR Feed.

"Chuck" (2.2/6, 6.5 million viewers) saw a slight dip while "Heroes" (3.3/8, 6.9 million viewers) was down 8% from its previously established settling point.

Both shows placed last in their hours among the major broadcast networks nd many now wonder if either series will make it beyond their finales in May.

The "Heroes" drain is familiar - fans have been complaining for over a year now about the show's quality and an attempted reboot with 'Volume Four' the other week seems to have not paid off.

The "Chuck" drain is strange as critical reviews have only been getting stronger and ratings were up for its recent 3D episode. Fox's "House" in the same time period however seems to be draining the audience.

Bad news for Chuck it seems.

Ruh roh. House is a pretty popular show, having it go up against Chuck was something I never did like :(

I can't believe people are watching House over this. I've heard from numerous House watchers that the show is the same thing every time. There is a mysterious disease, nobody can figure it out, they talk about it for 40 minutes, then House solves it. Wash, rinse, repeat.

you can over-simplify anything. for example, chuck:

something bad is going to happen. they show some slap-stick comedy for 40 minutes. chuck is told to stay in the car but doesn't and winds up saving the day. at the end chuck gets depressed that he and sarah can't ever be together. wash, rinse, repeat.

see? that wasn't very hard now was it

Isn't this down to the digital switch-over?
a very small fraction of tv audiences were affected by the transition (not all the tv stations have transitioned yet), and i bet a very small fraction of those watched chuck. so no, it's not

While that is somewhat true, they have, so far, delivered it in a fresh way almost each time, which makes it less of a wash, rinse, repeat. Heroes, on the other hand, has nearly carbon copied itself and shown a significant lack of originality or common sense, while Chuck has improved on the story telling greatly.

I have to agree here at here. I haven't heard anybody talk about Chuck in that way but any of my friends that watch House can (and have told me) that exact formula for each House episode.

Just finished the new episode. It was great (Y) this show just continues to improve. One of the interesting things about this show is that it is written by the same guy who wrote The O.C.

Talk about a big plot difference

Missed tonight's episode but I had it DVR'ed so thankfully I'll be watching later this week.

Anyone know the name of the song, played on piano on a few of the more sad/lovey scenes? It sounded familiar :s

I don't have time to check them, but it's probably one of the songs listed here: http://www.tvshowmusic.com/shows/chuck/season02.html

The latest episodes are at the bottom.

That scene was nice to watch! I really loved the scene at the end. Chuck knows it's not going anywhere with Sarah but he wants her really bad.

The preview for next week with Sarah being fired :o. What will she do the deserve this? Unless they wants us to think the worse.

And also that the General doesn't want Chuck to remove the Intersect from him

Using a MS standard just means Euro-Office is just a "bastardized MS Office Suite." (Wasn't a major purpose of Euro-Office was to get away from being captive and enslaved to MS's Office Suite??)
