Yes and yes. Very happy with my 12month subby, but don't expect them to get back to you tonight.
Yes - I bought a 13 month subscription off them and it was delivered in under 2 hours!
I did, ordered a 12 month sub around New Years (Y)

Thanks i just ordered the 12 + 1 :)

anyone know of a decent-ish price for a new wireless controller? the cheapest i've seen is ?29.99 at game. i'd prefer it to be white, but sometimes you can't choose. i managed to break the part that holds the battery packs in place after i dropped it and also broke the chat pad audio input, and now my headset won't sit in it. the chat pad isnt a nessecity though so that will get replaced in time:)) i've managed to selotape the battery in place for now;))

Could COD:WAW veteran be the cause of the damaged controller?

I would say pop into Zavvi and have a look as I believe that they were ?22.99 before Christmas + the 20% they seem to have off pretty much everything. Also I thought that in game they were doing controllers for ?20 when bought with anything else.

COD:WAW was the start of the end of my controller. its was just a natural break as i accidently just dropped it. COD5 on veteran got done in the first week of release so that agony could just be out of the way. but i was actually playing the game when it happened.

i was hoping GAME migt have been doing something like that but i think they stoppped doing that a few weeks ago :s zavvi is a good idea though, but i'm not sure if the local branch would have anything [as they didn't have much the last time i was in there a week ago] and tbh the cost of travel, it would just end up being a saving of about ?3. i might just grit my teeth and hope that GAME are doing the something decent instore when i visit there on my way to work later.

I didn't really pay too much attention to its shadiness, because I wasn't planning on buying anything from there (most of their prices seem high). Anyways seeing as I posted it I don't want anyone getting ripped off, so I did some digging:

Says in their footer their company number (registered in uk) under Divinity Corporation Limited. They've been incorporated for over a year and are listed on the official companies house website:

http://wck2.companieshouse.gov.uk/96956ac6...20a/compdetails

Although I couldn't find anything with my brief google about complaints/or anyone buying from them really. Maybe someone else can dig a bit deeper?

On a side note, anyone else think shopto.net's site gives a dodgy impression? I remember my first order from them I wasn't too hopeful of actually recieving it!

If people hadn't have said such great things about shopto before hand I wouldn't have ever bought anything from them :p

Ditto, they really need a redesign.

A new design, a better search system, better support and a better pre-order system. But I am finding Shopto to have prices higher than other shops now. I guess they can't afford to drop their prices as quickly and as low as Game etc.

Now? They've had crap price for well over a year. Only bought from them 3 times in 2008 (2 of which were platinum titles for PS3 anyway).

    • Linux 7.2's first release candidate gets off to a good start by Paul Hill Credit: Larry Ewing It has been a few weeks since the release of Linux 7.1, and in that time, the Linux 7.2 merge window has been open, where developers can submit their features and patches ready for the upcoming release. That window is now shut, and the release candidate phase has begun so that new features can be tested and further fixes applied. According to the founder of Linux, Linus Torvalds, this week’s release candidate looks “reasonably normal”. Although we are super early in the release candidates, this is a good sign as it makes it more likely that an eighth release candidate will not be needed. Torvalds even mentioned that the update’s stats are only larger than they really are because there was another AMD header drop with a third of the patch just being AMD GPU register definitions, which aren’t big changes but make the code contributed look larger overall. In addition to this, he noted that just over half the patch is drivers, even when excluding the AMD register dump. The rest of the changes are spread out over architecture updates, tooling, documentation, and core kernel updates. In the next week, Torvalds says that he will be chilling out, taking the week “mostly off”. Despite this, he will be reading emails and keeping up with things, so if he is slow responding, now you know why. He said he is hoping for a calm week, but we will just have to see if the second release candidate is actually like that. We should expect seven or eight release candidates before Linux 7.2 is released, so expect it around the end of August. If you missed it a few weeks ago, be sure to check out our coverage of Linux 7.1's release.
