Forgot to mention; 2100 points for ?4

www.very.co.uk & use code: ZZ449 which gives you a ?15 discount then use xv002 for free delivery

Report back if this works for you because Very/LittleWoods are a PITA to deal with. They are known to cancel orders.

OK, as this is a very very tempting deal, I've decided to be the guinea pig for this one. :p

post-151617-12699726226025.jpg

The order went through alright. Shame about the delivery date though. BTW, it was the same before I put in the code. Cheeky gits were gonna charge ?3.95 for what was basically Second Class Post!

I've tested myself, all you need to do is use a different name/email. Possibly just the email address.

Spending spree time (Y)

Yours sincerely, King of Deals (& teh jungle :p)

Screw it, I'll order another one! :p I'm on Google Mail, so straight away, I've got two addresses for the same account.

Ahh crap, the ?15 code isn't working for me. :( The free delivery code works fine, but not the other one.

Shame, but probably for the best, as I need at least ?40 to cover the difference for my new headphones, and ordering another ?4 of Microsoft Points would take me just under that. :p

Yeah it's because it's only supposed to be for your first order. Use a different name & email and you're good to go (Y)

I did use a different email (this time it ended in "@googlemail.com" instead of "@gmail.com"). I think my mistake at least shows you need to use a different name AND email address.

Guys, just a heads up with Very/Littlewoods/etc vouchers.

They have, in the past, come chasing people who have used vouchers without actually being sent them to claim it back (to the point where they've actually threatened legal action for fraud). If you search BBC for "littlewoods vouchers" you'll see more info about this.

Use vouchers from these guys with extreme caution.

Can confirm the ?15 code is now stopped, pity I was after some more points. Anyone know where to get 2100 or 4200 points cheap? Even the online sellers seem to be selling them at ?17.95 ?35 respectively :(

£14.99 at 7dayshop.

Edit: for 2100 points ofc.

Very cancelled my points orders - unsurprisingly. Knew they would, really despise the company lol.

It does work though if you're lucky enough. A friend ordered some & they arrived. Although the way they operate vouchers is they take the full amount, dispatch, then refund the amount saved. Really shoddy system.

Oh well was worth a try!

Btw to get an extra £1 off at The Hut use the code: BANK1

Ugh man, do we really need than animated avatar, I didn't even think they were allowed.

Subtle ones are sometimes okay like.

EDIT:

BAH WTF?!?!?!??!?!?!?!?!?!?!??!????!!!1!elevns

As I've found out, the cheeky buggers. If it weren't for the fact that I had to end up paying the difference for my new headphones with my parents' PayPal account (don't worry, they know; and I'm paying it all back when I get my EMA on Saturday), I'd have been overdrawn by now.

I hope they don't take too long in refunding the money, but at least my order actually got honoured! :D

They pay the money back in very (no pun) close to dispatch. So you'll get it (with luck) before the end of the week or start of next week. Might be a bit longer cause of the holidays. Dunno how they'll operate with that & the banks etc.

    • AltSendme 0.4.2 is out.
    • Simple answer is yes, you will still get the Windows updates and as long as browser is up to date, you will be good. Only thing secure boot does is protect you against boot level threats and make it harder to install other OS's. I've been looking into this pretty thoroughly lately myself as wifes computer has secure boot disabled plus my other, older computers that run Linux, don't have secure boot enabled. Have seen all kinds of questions about this on the Linux Mint and MX Linux forums. Just don't suddenly enable secure boot now.
