Not sure why this topic is still opened but I'll sum it up:

Firefox 3.0 beta is not ready yet. Yesturday or so, they made a mistake of making one of the nightly builds (?) public accidentally and therefore, after It wasn't meant to go public I believe, a user obtained a copy of it and spread false information. Mozilla has passworded or made the directories much harder to access since then.
