I recently downgraded my nero to a late version 6 build. That was the last time I think nero was using resources it actually needed.

Nero 8 has too much eye candy - I want to just click on the task I need to do and thats it, no spinning logo, no menu for a menu...

am I alone here ?

I liked Nero 7 Ultra , but I have upgradeaholism and have to have the newest stuff...

Due to complaints from my hosting provider I am forced to stop distributing Nero Lite from my site at this time. I?m working on creating an automated setup building tool so hopefully you all can build your own Nero Lite package in future.

Actually, I prefer Nero 8 to Nero 7 - I like how the "StartSmart" has burning capabilities built right in - no need to go through wizards to burn files - just click "data burning", drag your files there, and you're good to go. I wish they would get rid of the spinning logo, though...

I remember when I used Nero 8 (8.0.1b or something) it sucked. I 'downgraded' to Power2Go. Nero 7 is better then Nero 8. Is this still the case?
