dmd3x
I downloaded some programs for Linux, and they are in ".bin" files. How do I install them? Thanks. I am using RedHat 8.0 and KDE 3.
blueghost
usually "./filename.bin" from the terminal you may need to "chmod +x filename.bin" first
dmd3x
I followed your instructions and got left with an RPM file from the extraction. (It is the install file for JRE 1.3.1) I executed the RPM file, but I seem to have lost whatever it installed. Where can I find it? I think I might have to do something with "PATH environment variable," but I don't know what.
dmd3x
I need to get JRE to work in order to use LimeWire. Without LimeWire, I can't get MP3s.

mr_daemon
Don't execute the rpm files. Do this instead $ su (in order to become root) and then: # rpm -Uvh filename.rpm
