CompUSA going out of business

Recommended Posts

Glad to here that, there instore pick is a ****ing joke. I placed my order once in the morning, then in the evening coming home from work i went to pick up my order. Instead of just going in and out, i had to wait in the store for about an hour for them to process my order and get my order and do whatever they had to do

All I have to say: THANK GOD my Best Buy sells Macs. It's local and it'll be here for years to ######.

Wonder what you're thinking about right now

I'm kind of sad about them going out of business. I know the manager at the one by my house, and he always gives me discounts. I bought a Mac Mini and a 20" ACD last year in June, and he gave me 20% off, and the same on my MacBook Pro and second ACD that I bought a couple months ago.

Good riddance. As an ex-employee I'm glad to see the place finally close up. It's been headed toward this for ages now. Hope they have some going out of business deals!

(I do however feel for all the employees that will be left jobless.)

How many macs do you buy?

also, you should try to use the word "come", over ######. I know, its longer, but "######" makes me giggle like I was in 6th grade again.

Hey, i dont know about anyone else, but this kinda ****es me off. Is it me or pretty much all of the stores that sell individual computer parts are going out of buiseness. First they pretty much closed any of the other smaller stores that sold parts for us geeks (pc builders warehouse etc.) and I assumed it was because comp usa put them out of buiseness. I guess there is still best buy but they are too comercial if you ask me and they have a large selection but only a limited selection of what they do have. Anyway, thats just my oppinion :)

I received so much free stuff from CompUSA with all those free after rebates deals.

The problem with CompUSA is that it is to big and didn't stay in the niche computer category. I would have loved to shoot to it and have the choice between dozens of PSU's, cables, motherboards, etc.

They were toast when they tried to compete against Best Buy and Circuit City.

We use them a lot for orders at work. If you can get a good sales rep then it is a nice setup with quick shipments and fast delivery. Their prices from what I have seen even rival most online only stores. The selection is much better if you look on compusabusiness.com

Although I have had all of the 3 times I've been in a store to be a less than desirable experience.
