Spike
Any card of Nvidia works great under WindowsXP, but ATI cards are good too. The ATI's Radeon 8500 and the GeForce3 series (normal, Ti200 and Ti500) are the best choices.
Intelligen
Go with the Radeon 8500 with current drivers out for it. Price is really nice too compared to that of the GeForce3 and ect.
crackhbob
I would go for the Geforce 3 Ti 200... price is very nice when you consider the great performance you're getting out of it. Plus, if you really want to, I've heard you can get about 10% performance increase if you overclock the Ti 200 to near the Ti 500's specs.

iraklis2000
I had both a GF3 TI and an ATI Radeon 8500 on my machine. I kept the Radeon and returned the Nvidia.
Jackalo
Voodoo5 6000 rules all. =p That is, if you can find one. The beta testers don't really like to give away their precious hardware... Seriously though, go NVidia. ATI's hardware may be just as good at this point, but NVidia is releasing Detonator drivers like crazy right now. -Mike
