Heroes Volume 3 : Villains

Just think if Peter had his ability the state he is in now...

Surprised Sylar didn't take it.

I don't think he would of really got that close to him plus he remembers what happened with Elle, he could just suck in the world he's like a walking LHC :p

I really enjoyed the last ep; can't wait to find out Mr. P's ability! And Gabriel (aka Sylar) is awesome :)

In the comics it was thought he didn't have one because he fought alongside Linderman but maybe he has the ability to paralyze because he said to Angela she wouldn't be able to move.

I guess it was a better episode than the past few but still not too great. I didn't like how Hiro lost Adam...

I'm looking forward to seeing the villain army assembled though. It would be interesting to see if Sylar or Peter would fight them. I can't see anyone really being able to beat either one of them though if they were smart about it.

Heroes doesn't offer the level of excitement it used to in the first season, when they had a mission to accomplish ("Save the cheerleader, save the world"). In the second season, it just seemed to be going ahead without a clear destination in mind (things came together more or less in the finale). Its more or less this time as well - I mean are they even trying to achieve anything? The escaped villains - they don't look like they are trying to destroy the world! The heroes - what are they trying to prevent? To prevent the reconstruction of Zimmerman's powers? To prevent Mohinder from hitting upon an alternate formula? To prevent the future "Promise City" from coming up? (didnt future Peter's actions already change that future?) To Save future Gabriel from having Noah? (and thus prevent him from nuking up?) To prevent the Earth from blowing up? None of the heroes seem to be making any whole-hearted effort to do that!

Hey All,

Once again the guys over at CBR had a chance to host a Q&A Session with Heroes writers Aron Coleite and Joe Pokaski.

Here is a summary of some of the key details from the most recent Behind the Eclipse Q&A.

My favorite detail is the confirmation once again that we will learn more about The Haitian.

1) Peter acts on emotions and though he might not use the right ability at a specific time he reacts in the heat of the moment. He did not use his abilities to kill Nathan because the point was not let people with abilities to be exposed so if he did it would have had the opposite effect of what her was trying to do.

2) Episode 3x04 I Am Become Death will most likely be the last "future" episode we will see for a long time.

3) Someone really powerful knew Hiro was going to open the safe and sent Daphne to get the Formula. (Assuming this means Maury or Arthur).

4) The German might return, but it is hard to return from a hole in the chest.

5) Would not confirm that Kaito's power shown on the Season 2 DVDs deleted scene as canon.

6) Adam did not kill all of the founders of The Company and Isaac's father is NOT on the deceased list.

7) Episodes 3x10/11 will reveal more details about The Haitian and his family

8) Yes, Peter can use Sylar's ability to learn more about his OWN abilities, but the "Hunger" might keep him a little busy.

9) In a funny answer they reminded fans who were worried about Mr. Muggles, that he drank some of Claire's blood.

10) Sylar's babymama will still be revealed, but it is not what we think

11) They want Isaac to return, but is hard trying work out the scheduling because of his busy plays/movies schedule.

12) The chart that keeps track of all of the various character abilities is Oliver Grigsby.

13) Linderman was right, every time the future is changes it gets worse.

But as we know, some people are given powers, so he could have been given one after the events of that comic.

I must have missed this, what was it?

how come he is some 30 years old then?

Because thats when he died for the first time.

At least, thats how it works in Highlander.

From Heroes Wiki

"Kaito reveals his "special ability" to Ando. Kaito says he can "see the variables of any situation and predict the outcome." He claims he is faster than a computer and attributes his success in the stock market to this ability"

that sylar bit.. if "what we think" is Elle being sylar's mom.. then I'd say that sylar 'adopts' a boy somehow. like, his parents get killed when he's a baby and sylar turns good and decides to raise him as a normal boy and blabla. I can't think of anything else other than teh secks with elle
Best Character development right now!!!

I would love it at the end if its Peter vs Sylar but even then the haters will say Peter never used this power or Sylar never used this so it would never be good :(

    • Who is paying for this 30x scale-up? Its sounds expensive.
    • Millions of users to benefit from Windows 11's new performance boost on Adobe Photoshop by Sayan Sen Despite the advent of AI-generated imagery, Adobe's Photoshop remains one of the most popular tools on this planet. Adobe does not have a publicly reported total user count but it's probably not wrong to assume there are millions. As of 2025, Adobe Creative Cloud has had approximately 41 million paid subscribers, many of whom likely use Photoshop. In addition, more than 166,000 companies worldwide are apparently also using the app. These figures are according to a very recent report by SQ Magazine. Out of them, it is fair to assume that many are probably running Windows. As such, there is good news for these users as Microsoft has announced Photoshop is getting a big 20% performance boost on x86-64 (AMD64) systems and a 13% bump-up on Arm devices. This is definitely great news for them as many have complained about the slow performance and general sluggishness of Photoshop on Windows 11 ever since the advent of the latter back in 2021. If you are wondering how Microsoft managed to do this, the answer lies in a combination of compiler-level optimizations and a technology called Sample Profile Guided Optimization (SPGO). According to Microsoft, Adobe worked closely with the company’s Visual C++ team and adopted the latest MSVC toolchain enhancements together with SPGO to squeeze more performance out of Photoshop’s CPU-bound workloads. Unlike traditional Profile Guided Optimization (PGO), which requires developers to create special instrumented builds and run lengthy training workloads, SPGO gathers performance data directly from optimized release binaries. This means Adobe could collect real-world usage information which gives a major advantage to this technique, as companies could leverage data collected from actual customer workloads rather than only relying on synthetic benchmark runs. In theory, this should allow optimizations to better reflect how users interact with software in the real world. Thanks to this, there are improvements to code layout, function inlining, hot-and-cold code separation, and other low-level tweaks that help processors execute instructions more efficiently. Essentially the compiler is better able to identify “hot” code paths, those which are most frequently executed, and optimize them accordingly.
    • "The 2TB Samsung 990 PRO NVMe SSD hits lowest price in over three months¨ I'd prefer to see the lowest price in over a year
    • Glad these prices are starting to come down, but that is still crazy. I bought the 2TB 9100 Pro (slightly more expensive version with PCIe 5.0) last year for $240.
    • The 2TB Samsung 990 PRO NVMe SSD hits lowest price in over three months by Sayan Sen Yesterday, we covered a really good deal wherein you can get a 4TB TeamGroup T-FORCE G50 NVMe PCIe Gen4 SSD for a low price of just $400 with a special discount coupon. That's just $100 per TB, making it a very good offer during these hard times. The deal is still live, so you can check it out in its dedicated article here if you do not want to miss out. Meanwhile, if you don't have that kind of budget but still wish to buy an SSD for a good price, the 2TB variant of the TeamGroup SSD at $280 its lowest price in over three months. Meanwhile, those seeking 2TB but faster performance can check out Samsung's 990 PRO, which has hit the lowest price also in the last quarter or so, as it's on sale for $370 (purchase links under the specs table down below). Thus, you want a faster drive, get the 990 Pro, or you want more capacity, grab the TeamGroup 4TB linked in the first para. The 990 PRO is a PCIe Gen4 NVMe SSD and still one of the fastest drives available today for under $500. Speaking of fast, sequential reads and writes are rated at 7450 MB/s and 6900 MB/s, respectively. The random throughputs for reads and writes are 1400K IOPS and 1550K IOPS, respectively. The 990 PRO is based on Samsung's 7th Gen V-NAND flash, and it too is TLC. It packs 2 gigs of LPDDR4 DRAM cache, which helps the random performance. The endurance rating for this is 1200 TBW (terabytes written), which should be sufficient for most users. The Samsung 990 PRO is compatible with the PlayStation 5, but if you are going to use the 990 PRO on a PC, check out the Samsung Magician app that lets you track your drive's health, update its firmware, customize various settings, and more.
