Here's mine. It's kinda got cables everywhere because I recently had to move rooms, but I figured I might as well post my new desktop. The pictures are horrible because it's just an old 1.3 MP camera that I use to take pictures when I need a small file size

Well anyways, here it is:

Is that an alu front or is the whole thing alu too?

Looks sleek!

If you were talking to me  then yes... it is all alum on the front... even the cover over the front USB/Firewire/Audio is alum... it's a nice case.. was dirt cheap too.. very quiet...

Almost got that exact case... instead I bought the Centurion... very nice, good price and quiet.. and no tool's required..

Thanks :D I'm using the 350D still yep with the 17-55 lens but you can get just as good results from your 18-55 too :)

For those kind of shots you really do need a dedicated flash gun (I'm using the 430EX speedlite) to bounce the light off the ceiling or wall to get the all round lightness feel. wide apertures also help in keeping depth of field nice and smooth. I recommend using M mode and experiment with various shutter speed whilst keeping the F number at a constant value, for your lens leave it on f5.6 all the time and just adjust shutter from say 1/30sec to 1/80 sec indoors and see what you come out with - adjust ISO as well as you'll soon notice how shutter speed relates to ISO and then with aperture values in any given scene :)

Thanks alot.. :)

Yeah, I love this case, especially since it comes with good airflow right out of the box (80MM front fan, 120MM Back fan). You can't beat the price (like $40 + Shipping) for someone who wants a good looking case and doesn't want to spend a lot of cash (Y).

^ You should lift your LCD monitor to eye level for perpendicular viewing on the horizontal plane for vertical alignment. You'll get a much better image perception... otherwise, I'll take your height adjustable stand, I could always use an extra one :p

Here is another update. This room was clean until my friend stayed the night again, but I did add more posters and organize my things enough to take pictures of the rest of my room. About the sword... The sword I bought is a replica of Tensa Zangetsu. I didn't really realize that it was a bit too big until I pulled it out of the box (62" long). The TV here is a 42" TV from the late 90's, lol. And all that random birdhouse crap and snowman stuff is things I have yet to remove from the room. This place used to be a giant storage room that my parents put random stuff in, so every cabinet and drawer you see is filled with stuff that isn't mine.

The printer there is also an 18"x** printer that has a roll feed on the back.

Yes, thats NG, may parents used to get them all the time and I do read few them at random. Personally though, I prefer Popular Science and Popular Mechanics with a bit of documentaries on TV.

@ tonyh21 - Nice setup, its really difficult to get glass tables to hide wires, and you did a fantastic job :)

Your screen looks very yellow! I think you might need to make some adjustments.

I've got everything done now... well I still haven't got any order to the wires behind the desk ... I've been looking at some NICE workstations and have decided to go ahead and post mine.. tell me what you all think!!!

Everyone's seen my main setup so I thought I'd post something different this time around. Here's my 'homework' setup. Usually do uni assignments here since I find it easier to code/ssh to uni/etc. with two monitors.

    • LOL. Can't even quote and edit a comment correctly. Figures you're a Linux user.
    • I have disabled it, but the app is still taking space. I have a Mac and it is only possible to disable Ai on that, but I think that bit does get rid of the AI components after a while. What we are told is that we agree to all this when we use the devices as it is in the end user agreements, their software, they can do what they like. I doubt that any bill will happen in the U.S, the government there are in league with big tech firms. The E.U maybe, they seem to have some guts when it comes to tech companies. The U.K is not in the E.U, but some things still affect us. Our government is as gutless when it comes to tech companies as the U.s government.
