peaches!

Unfortunately, that's business. As I'm sure you know.

I find it absolutely mind boggling that you cheer to players prices going up. Incredible.

I cheered for Blu-Ray winning ;) . Now since this will be the definitive HD format, I'm getting a PS3 soon. You should too, or maybe you wouldn't.

Samsung BD-P1000: from $269.99

Sony BDP-S300: from $269.99

Samsung BD-P1400: from $319.99

Sharp Aquos BDHP20U: from $328.99

Is what I see under $399

those are all refurbished or used prices...might want to pay a little more attention next time.

They are still under $399 new.

I clearly said "from" so you might want to pay a little more attention next time.

I don't think you comprehend how Amazon works.

"Our price" is the new price available at Amazon. The "from" refers to the lowest price, which is the used/refurbished price. None are under $399 new.

You might want to pay a little more attention next time ;) lol

At $399, you better get the PS3, same thing, with a game console as a bonus!

That's funny, because when I choose "Buy new" I get these prices:

HD-DVD > Blu Ray

Ok that kind of post annoys me. Why post that? I am not up on the hd war, I don't have hd, and probably won't for a while. But it would be nice if there was some info in your reply as appoused to just saying "I win" and running out the door.

Not to be rude... but do some reading, you can't expect to learn the answer to all your questions in someone's post on a web forum... especially in a topic as heated as this.

As for the whole HD DVD > Blu-Ray comment, yeah, it doesn't have they're reasoning, which would help make their point, but they didn't.

Still, $399 for a PS3 is value for money.

Simple. They are avid supporters of HD-DVD and since HD-DVD will be gone soon like Bush, they are just stating their frustrations by writing nonsense.

exactly, or they will post how the war for some reason ISN'T over yet or why it's BAD for the consumer.

My fault, I didn't add any items to my cart for the ones that didn't have prices listed on the main screen, you're right. Didn't want to accidentally leave anything in my account.

    • I can answer about the Linux bit. I only used AMD GPUs. I currently have a 9060XT (8GB) that fits my needs, I'm not a gamer, so I don't need that much GDDR. But lately, NVIDIA has grown a lot in the recent years. Oh, the horrors of NVIDIA drivers not working. But they have been getting better. I know a lot of members onm here that are running cachyOS and other distros, and are fine with a 4090/5090 variants. Really, though, I would stick with AMD variants.
