I'm not sure if this is a Windows problem or a Firefox problem, all I know is that its quite annoying. When I click a link to a jpg file, firefox seems to think its a Winrar archive and downloads the file instead of just displaying it. Has this happened to anyone else? Anyone have any ideas how to fix it?

You'll need to ensure Firefox knows how to handle .jpegs

Go to Tools > Options and go into the Content tab, which should be set as shown in the screenshot.

You will also want to go into Manage, and if you see .jpeg in that list, highlight it and click Remove Action. Then just restart Firefox and try to view a jpeg, all should be well :)

Who knows, Flickr does it so when you click the download link, it shows the download dialog.

All I know is that it's really annoying.

Edit: I just checked, on my system application/force-download is associated with WMP, no idea why.
